Status Update

Hey everyone, Nelg here.
I'm writing this journal, more or less to update everyone on what's been going on with my life, considering that it has been Five Months since I last posted something; Christ, that's almost half a year. Anyway, back on topic, I believe I suffered a bit of burn-out because I found myself unable to write anything; But not any more. I've at last gotten back into writing. As my uncle once taught me, the best practice to get into the habit of writing, is to do a page a day. Now, that's what I'm doing at the moment. Slowly, but indeed, Act XI of the Odyssey is at last moving.
Now, the reason behind this journal. I've gone back and made a few, small edits in the story. Starting from Act: VIII, in which I've finally decided to reveal the Sciuridae Healer's name; Tac. And Act: X, where I show the name of the Prime Alpha; Hark. I wanted to let you guys know this, in case you open up Act: XI and find yourselves thinking, "Now who the bloody hell are these guys?"
Another thing is that while looking through my old stuff, I found an old story of mine that I promised to work on, back on Macrophile.com, called "The Dragon with the Girl Tattoo." I was about halfway through it when I lost interest and forgot about it. It had nothing to do with that God-Awful book by Adam Roberts. My version is an attempt at a murder mystery set in a world of Dragon's where humans are mythical creatures. It was my attempt at doing a crime noir story with a Dragon twist.
So, I was curious if there was any interest for me to finish it, polish it up, and publish it here? It would mean a delay in the Odyssey, though. I just wanted to throw that out there. Let me know what you guys think?

Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months...
Before you know it, you've been working on a project for years. But it doesn't have to be that way. A page a day sounds like a good idea and small stuff like that can add up quickly!
For example. I try to do about 600 words a day, but I give myself a day off once a week, culminating in about 3600 words a week. I'm not perfect about it, but that's about one chapter or short story a week. Which is approximately 18,000 words a month. Then that can easily turn into around 216,000 words a year... when the average novel length hovers around 80,000 words or so.
Not too bad when you think about it from that perspective! So yeah, just smart small and work from there since that's how you eat an elephant, Rome wasn't built in a day, ect.
Good to see you back!
Everyone needs some time to take some rest, but I'm glad to see you continuing the Odyssey story~
Also I'm interested about this story of yours "The Dragon with the Girl Tattoo."
All your stories that I read so far are really good, making me want to read more from you.
And I'm sure I gonna sound "selfish" or somethin, but in the future I really hope you make one of the continuations of your "It's a Dogs Life" story, that story marked me so much that I'm curious about the other ones you where gonna do about it, but that's just my selfish wish XD, be free to do whatever story you want to do because I'm sure they'll be great as usual, and stay healthy too!
