Hey guys, I'm not dead I just havent been uploading lol. It's been a busy year and a half what with the Troubles. I'll maybe start uploading some of the stuff I've been drawing but the approach I've taken to most of my art lately is kind of different so I'm not sure if it will be as appreciated. I guess I'll see what kind of response one or two pieces get and judge from there.
But more importantly, ive been reading a ton. You guys should recommend me some more books to read. Sci fi, fantasy stuff. Bonus points for gay content mixed in. Very little gay stories that arent just romance period huh? I'm currently reading the Otherside Picnic series and thats been fun.

Pretty good fantasy/supernatural/adult/romance series. Gets a little sex-heavy in the mid books but the later ones are pretty story driven again. :)
If you want some Sci-Fi with queer themes that isn't just a romance, check out River Solomon's An Unkindness Of Ghosts as well. Probably one of the best Sci-Fi novels from this decade that I've read. Greg Egan's Diaspora also has some very interesting genderqueer themes, if that's your thing.
First: William Gibson’s latest : The Peripheral and Agency
Next: Martha Wells Murderbot series, start with All Systems Red
More: Ann Leckie Ancillary Justice and or The Raven Tower
Richard Kadrey Sandman Slim
Ian Tregillis Bitter Seeds
Daniel Polansky The Builders
Anything by Neil Gaimon
That aside, there's a pretty decent detective series that is rather stereotypically called the Big Bad Wolf series (starting with The Wolf at the Door), about a guy working for the supernatural sector of the FBI. It takes the expected tropes there and does rather fun stuff with it.
A favorite book of mine is Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. It's advertised as a sort of adult Alice in Wonderland, but it reads very differently, especially if you know Gaiman's works. Gaiman, woefully, doesn't do a lot of queer writing, and in fact often can be painfully heterosexual, but I really do enjoy every book I read by him.
in the same vein, another sci fi anthology; Stories of Your Life and Others is where the story that inspired the movie Arrival came from! The storeis were a bit more hit or miss for me but I enjoyed them, especially the title story.
Oh also these are both available as audiobooks which is a huge draw for me since I can work and listen to audiobooks at once ^^
Ready Player One and Read player Two (the movie was a completely different story)

skulduggery pleasant by derek landy and demon road by derek landy! both series are great
The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson
The best novel about medieval accounting practices you'll ever read. Joking aside, I suggest giving it a look, but avoid spoilers (ie, don't open Wikipedia). It also has gay content; the main character is a lesbian. There is little in the way of romance, but her sexuality is part of the story.
One on my list to read is 'Cemetery Boys'. It's written by a queer Latinx trans* person! :D One thing you might like is Indigo's '#askIndigo'. While Canadian, you fill out a form about what you're into, etc..and you get an email recommending books!
I work for their customer service and social media, so I tested it out when it first hit and I was very happily surprised by the recommendations. (Sorry for the long URL):
