Well, what did you expect? Roarey and other like-minded artists like Wolfblade (who finally got featured on spicy furry takes) don't have jobs and safely make their livings at home drawing cub porn commissions and taking donations from patreon/subscribe star or whatever. It's OTHERS they demand go back to work and risk being exposed to a virus that they say is no big deal. Just so I'm clear, I have no problem with furry artists making a living off commission art to make ends meet during the pandemic, and I do think it's a mistake to have lockdowns without stimulus support. My problem is with the people that downplay the severity of covid and harass essential workers or doctors when they're not the ones who would be on the front lines if masks and lockdowns were to all be abolished. Hopefully Roarey and Wolfblade aren't going to any crowded areas without masks. Roarey chose a bad time to come out anti-mask since there's now a mutated form of covid that's more contagious in the UK, and it's recently been detected in a national guardsmen in Wolfblade's home state of Colorado. It's just a matter of time before one of them or their followers get infected.

i'd expect with all that talk of rationality and not giving into fear/irrationality/emotion roarey does so much, he'd actually be on the side of wearing a mask. he lives in a family full of chronically-ill people - i've read a bunch of his old journals from like 2010-12 where he explicitly mentions this as to why he takes up a lot of commissions. he has to at least have some sympathy for them.
