if you could completely remove anything from human history, anything at all up to this point in time, what would it be. think long & hard.
i would remove two things:
-smooth jaz
-romantic comedies (excluding Shakespeare, of course)

keep in mind, it's an innocent question. worry not.
Oh, and June bugs.
they don't bite, just cling........... and hiss.
- Homo sapiens' tendency to grow hair on the top of their heads.
Not because I have anything against either, but because I feel that their respective removals would have the most massive, non geological impact on our world's formation out of any other two aspects of human history. *nods sagely*
- ..Columbus
- ..that stick the first monkey had a chance to pick up and become the superior race.

|__- ..if that had failed: Religion is my second choice.
America wouldn't have been invaded by Europeans and the Indians could have had a chance to develop until some other land-hungry jackasses would feel like invading.
Monkey's shouldn't have evolved.
Religion is just too damn influential and manipulatable. GOD SPEAKS! YOU ARE GUILTY OF MAKING HERB TEA! BURN ON THE POLE!!!!! *Ignite, burn sizzle, ps-s-s-s-s.... crispy.*
Captain James Cook kicks his ass ten times over.
James Cook dates to 1770's, while C. Columbus is 1500's. So, yeah, you're right. Colonisation of America DID start at 18th century.
2. Sporks. I mean for FUCK'S SAKE make a FORK or a SPOON and leave it at that!!
Then again... chopsticks work pretty darned well.
Chopsticks are fine with me, however. I'll take 'em as a substitute.
I think a) the concept of concentration of policital, economic and social power vested in one individual and b) the idea that one might fufill his goals by destroying a population (genocide)
The exception to this?
I would have to sit through a lengthy checklist of what I would and would want deleted with references of its future derrivatives if I'd already experienced them in order to allow future pieces to exist if they outweighed the bad show that inspired the great one.
my only use for such is watching movies & playing snes.
The collapse of the British Empire.
Pear Harbour.
Wanna know why? ask >;3
Pearl Harbour. "A few relatives were in that. And also, if that hadn't happened. We could have fought out those germans ourselves! Without the extra casualties of the American troops." I'm.. uh.. tired? : 3
and the lord of the rings movies.
far to many bad things and the starts of bad things happened to me that year. but then again i guess it was a good bout of lessons and showed even when everything is ripped down around me and the people i care about leave me to flop about in it as they drag new drama tot eh festering temporal wound and i did not actually go through the with elaborte and deffintly if pulled off news worthy suicide i had come up with in the depths of my fevered megadepression than i can pretty much survive anything. no matter how much i think i cannot. So i guess i would not delete it from history itself but perhaps just my own head so it could fade a bit

Circumcisions - Haven't humanity evolved beyond the practice of desensitizing peni?
...concepts and thoughts and beliefs (such as religion) are not "things" in my mind - they are intangible thoughts. While Religion is, in fact, a disgusting mental illness, it is not a thing. Weapons.
Think about that...
war reduced to massive fist-fights or - perish the thought - diplomacy??! ...and imagine if our governments didn't kill people on our behalf because what they did was crazy and depraved.
