Happy New Year everyone. Somehow or another, we made it out of 2020 alive. I don't expect things to just magically get better, but I can only hope that 2021 will be a bit less disastrous. Despite everything, 2020 wasn't all bad for me. It was my most productive year yet for art, and I really feel like I've learned a lot. I'm hoping I can make this year even more productive.
I have no less than 3 pieces in progress at the moment, 2 of which I'm hoping to finish up later today. I have a lot of other rad stuff planned in the near future as well, so keep an eye on those submission notifications.
For 2021 my goal is to solidify my art styles. I want to figure out some consistent methods so that I can really start pumping out the art. Experimentation is good of course, but every time I'm messing around with a new way of doing things it really takes up a lot of time, and I'm already a pretty slow artist as it is. In the worst cases it can lead to me having to scrap or redo a whole bunch of work, and that's never fun. I have a list of no less than 85 different things I want to draw and I'd really like to chip away at that cause there's some fun stuff on there. In the future I might start holding polls on my discord server for what I should draw off of it.
That about all I have to write about for this month. I've been doing these journals for a whole year now with this one. I think they've proven somewhat successful in keeping you informed and giving me a chance to organize my thoughts.
