Seeking short stories for the Voice Of Dog podcast
4 years ago
Hey folx! Since I’ve seen some questions about The Voice of Dog, the story-reading podcast (www.thevoice.dog), I’d like to share the current requirements for story submissions:
1) A single-part story under 5000 words, or a two-part story under 10,000 words
2) Any rating, any genre, any topic
3) NO BUMMERS
I leave this to your discretion. While previously TVOD required stories to be “uplifting” I don’t think that needs to be a requirement any more. There’s room to explore more melancholy and regret — but not hopelessness. Not despair.
That's it! If you have a story you think is a good fit, please get in touch with me and tell me about it! I'm khakidoggy on Twitter and Telegram, where I'm most active, and I'd love to hear from you

Of the selection you sent, I'm interested in Anarchy, Unconditional Love and First Snow Waltz; they're good lengths, relatable and would make for good readings.
Would you be so kind as to pour them into the submission form, and share the link with me? I use Google Docs to organize submissions and ensure I have everyone's proper credits in place, for the recording and the show notes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....it?usp=sharing
You can share them with me at khakidoggy@me.com, or khakidoggy on Twitter and Telegram, whatever's convenient for you.
Thanks again, Vixyy!
and a thought - if you ever need something special written, just ask. I like a challenge...
