So, I'm feeling a lot better and have made a nearly full recovery from what was, in fact, COVID-19. It was a very unfun 10-11 days of being bedridden, fatigued, and over all miserable, but I'm SO MUCH better now. Which means I can finally focus on the arbitrary passing of time and the new year.
Normally I don't do much in terms of resolution work, mostly just having generalized soft goals, but my newest partner and I have decided to have proper resolutions and to keep each other on track with our goals through the year the best we can. Art, of course, plays a big part of my resolution. I want to draw more, which is pretty much always a goal for me. Each year I have been drawing more, getting more commissions, and doing more, but it's always nice to stretch out and reach for just a bit more! I'm going to continue to do art that I love and that is indulgent to myself, because the best way to be an authentic artist is to do just that.
My current goals are to complete (whatever that means to me) one personal piece, one commission piece, and one SubscribeStar piece per month. SubStar pieces can be voted for currently on Twitter though as I gain more Subscribers it'll be a Subscriber vote, since it is primarily for those who want to go the extra mile to support me, and SubStar pieces are posted on a two week delay, meaning those who support me on SubscribeStar will get to see it two weeks before it's posted on any other art website or social media platform. Since I started the year with COVID I'll be a little slow to start, but I'm excited to continue my artistic journey and to be more authentic to the art I want to create. As nice as it would be to gain followers and have a ton of interaction, I want it to be natural and have people who are interested in my art because of what I do, not just for the sake of it.
