Deleting Old Art
Heyyyy so I am considering deleting a lot of my old artwork here, mostly stuff from when I was very very young. It's art I'm not fond of and a lot of it makes me uncomfortable. But I know that it'll also include old commissions there, so if you want to save anything from that time that you commissioned from me, I would go ahead and do so if you haven't! I won't be deleting right away, it'll likely be when I have downtime sometime later this weekend.
I DO NOT still have most of those old files as they were made on a very old laptop that died on me forever ago so once they're deleted, they're gone for good. Please don't assume I have the files! Save what you don't want to lose!!
If you have commissioned work from me from that time, I would also prefer you not repost it if you haven't already. Thank you!

However, I would argue that removing all your early work from public view does a disservice to the wider creative community. I contend there is value is allowing new creators, those just starting on the long, ardous journey of learning and polishing their craft, to see that even those they hold in highest esteem needed time to learn and master their art.
I'm not trying to suggest that such work need be given any prominence; I know I find my earliest stories almost painful to read (and I include anything more than maybe 5 or 8 years old). I make no effort to draw any attention to them. By the same token, I also decline to delete them from where they rest. If anyone wants to make the effort to locate and read that early work, they can do so, It will take some effort to locate them; anyone with the drive to find them deserves to see how far I've come on my journey as a writer. Anyone that thinks I'm worth following deserves to see how much time, effort, and practice has gone into honing my skills.
Don't delete your work, if you can, move it elsewhere. Move it some place that isn't easily found, but leave it as proof for those to come that anyone can reach the pinnacle if they put in the work to get there; leave them as evidence that a less than perfect start isn't equivalent to being incapable of creating beauty.
You mentioned to move it someplace, isn't that just what scraps are for on Furaffinity?
