It has been reported to me that at least one person is trying to sell through Facebook one or multiple characters of mine that obviously don't belong to them.
I'm not sure at this point if they pretend to be me or not, but if I do sell a character, it would be only through FurAffinity and NOTHING ELSE.
Right now, the only character in process of being sold is Kiretsu. (Payment plan)
All the characters that are already sold are marked in my Gallery.
My wild dog Shiretsuna is mine and not up for sale and never will be.
My demon fox Hel (All versions of him) is mine and not up for sale and never will be.
I'm only making this journal to eventually help prevent someone being scammed in the future.
In a general manner, always be cautious and get informed.

Where can one go to copyright their characters? And what kind of proof is needed? Just out of curiosity since I've always been very cautious about which characters of mine I post due to fear of theft.

Depends on your country, I first tried to make a long answer trying to explain more but I realized I don't know much about it. For myself I just went to an official office in France and the guys there guided me till I got my official papers for about 30€ per characters.

Simply needed to report it through the 3 dots and claim it as yours using proof. You can't report things for someone else, sadly...

Sorry to hear someone is trying something like that with your characters. People can be despicable. Your characters are great though, especially the wild dog in my opinion.
