Goodbye Trump and good riddance

General
I wanted to make this journal a lot sooner but RL related stuff kept me at away so I'm a little late to the party
which is why I'm gonna keep it short
goodbye Trump and good riddance
some people might actually miss the guy but I certainly will not
his poor management of the pandemic, his temper tantrum following his loss in the election, the baseless lawsuits which have been universally shot down and last but not least, the storming of the capitol building by Trump supporters after Trump whipped them into a frenzy on january 6th...
yeah, i'm not going to miss that man...
its now up to Joe Biden to pick up the pieces that Trump has left behind but so far, he went off to a good start. he's treating the pandemic with the seriousness it requires for one.
for the other, well... Biden is already rekindling friendly relationships with Japan, promising to aid them in the defense of the Senkaku islands which are internationally recognized as being part of Japan's territory and who have been contested by China with the chinese having made repeated incursions around the Senkaku area
in general has China been trying to expand their territory and sphere of influence in the south china sea, with them trying to muscle out many other asian nations so that China may gain control of an area that is rich in resources as well as a very important sea trade route
there are some people, even here on FA, who for some reason like to accuse this mild mannered and very pro-capitalist democrat Joe Biden of being a communist and very pro China and yadda, yadda, yadda... you know, the usual character assassination that Trump and his supporters like to conduct.
I wonder how they are going to explain/justify this nonsense now, after Biden made a statement that is very much against China and is not going to make him very popular in Beijing...

Yeah I know Trump was all those things it doesnt take a blind prophet to see that. But Biden to me just comes off as a weak willed dumbass who has his head so far up his butt plucker he couldn't see the difference between jack and squat and prefers to be controlled like a puppet to his party.
Either way we're all still screwed regardless who was gonna win because there's no such thing as a good political just as there's no such as a good president anymore and both parties just want to watch the whole country get torn apart by both left and right.
It's why I didn't vote for anyone because I knew we were screwed either way.
These next four years are not gonna be any better or any different when Trump was in charge.
I'm not a fan of Biden. The democrats could have (and should have) selected a much better candidate. But to pretend it won't be better or different without a demagogue in chief in the White House is incredibly disingenuous.
I think the only reason why he won was because the country just hated Trump that much and just let him win just in spite of the former president. And maybe after the next four years people are either going to get him impeached just so his vice president can take over, or let him go through his term and shit all over the country because he could barely give a speech without someone having to tell him behind the scenes what to do like a good little mindless obedient weak willed puppet. Without a puppeteer to control him or to tell him what do or whose ass he needs to kiss. In the end of the day he's just a retarded dumb ass sitting in office who wouldn't know a thing about running the country, let alone fixing the mess the last president left.
however, considering how vocal you are on your views to Biden, I would like to give you something to think about.
when Abraham Lincoln came into office, many considered him a very weak president because he acted more like a kindly grandfather rather than a president. his love for jokes didn't do much to change that impression many had of him.
and yet, as we all know, Abraham Lincoln went down in history as one of the greatest presidents the United States had ever seen
so what is the lesson that is to be learned here?
simple:
never judge a book by its cover
Now I feel vindicated.
Worst president in US history. Instead of clutching his pearls as the country tore itself in two and invading Utah like James Buchanan, Trump pushed for tearing the country in two and invaded his own capitol. Got impeached for being a racist asshole and keeping minorities down like Andrew Johnson, only twice. Presided over a corrupt administration that would make Warren Harding blush. Supported mob rule like Franklin Pierce but was nevertheless renominated by his party.
The only benefit was that Trump was such a fool that he destroyed his own political and financial power in the process.
As an ethnic Chinese living in the US, I will point out that both the Communist Party of the PRC and anticommunist groups like Hong Kong activists and Falun Gong all loved Trump. I think Chinese people have just been trained to like and are used to strongmen.
