Oversaturated?

Hello all my dearies~! <3
I have a question. Are my arts oversaturated? I had a chance to see them on a different screen than my own and omg, they had such a crazily vibrant colors and I think a lot of the mood of some of them was lost due to oversaturation. I like vibrant colours, but that was just too much. Now the question is... is it my monitor losing some saturation with age and my arts would rather fit some rave rather than art gallery xD or was it the other display with saturation turned up to a screaming maximum? How do you feel? How do they look like on your displays?

The colors seem fine to me, but I can't really verify the accuracy of my monitor. Every monitor is a bit different, and a lot of people don't calibrate them at all. I'd honestly considered getting one of those professional calibration tools (they're quite expensive), but I just haven't as of yet.

Ahh, that's true. I don't have any calibrating device either, trying to keep my display on the auto-calibrator (trusting that those things are somehow standarised for all monitors), precisely because I guess plenty of people wouldn't care to bother and I try to aim at my works looking good at most screens out there. Thank you for your response <3 Each one is valuable, as it will let me know if majority thinks the vibrancy is ok, or off.

If you mean the default settings of the monitor, never trust that. XD Pretty much none of them are ever calibrated from the factory.

i don't think they are over saturated, so the other monitor must be at fault, i have fairly new pc so the colors dispaled are fine in my opinion, i like that they have such vibrant colors.

Aww, thank you! I'm glad to hear that. I was worried my trusty monitor might be getting too old x'D But I'm glad it's ok, I really like it and wouldn't want to have to part with it xD Thank you for your response <3

I'd love to help, but even after looking up what it means to be oversaturated, I have no idea.
I like them in they're current saturation level, and have no idea if I'd like them better, or worse, less saturated.

It's basically about the intensity of colour: if it's very colorful, or more grey-ish. But the info that colors in my arts look good for you is a valuable information itself, thank you <3

I've seen your art on a number of different screens, including my phone and on none of them does it feel overly saturated.
I actually like your content colours and never have I thought it was too much.

Every display is different. But I like how your art looks like right now when it comes to color. Regardless of if I view it on mobile or my desktop

Yes, I know. That's why I want to know if most of people have displays that show more stauration or ones showing less of it to calibrate mine to the majority's devices. But I'm glad they look ok for you and on several displays. Thank you for your response<3

I also stand on the side of them being fine, even on my PC where I have the vibrance turned to maximum there's nothing screaming at the eyes

I think they look great as is. I'd guess the other screen you saw it on was set for vibrant mode or something.

Colors look fine to me.

The thing that bothers me is the fluids splash. It just doesn’t work

overall I wouldn't say your art comes off as over saturated to me, and I do actually have a color calibrated display using a color managed browser. Which that peace of mind is exactly why I got a colorimeter, I can know at least my display is accurate despite the vast differences between your average monitor.
