I am currently laughing, both at seeing someone caught on age (which inexplicably amuses me) and that it's explicitly stated that one can submit items which they are not allowed to view.
I used to have multiple accounts for such reason, personally. Not that I'm suggesting anything. *cough*

If I might speak frankly, Yiffstar sucks, both in terms of community and content. Which is saddening, considering it's the only relatively active realm for adult furry discussion of which I am aware.

Oh believe me, I knew the risk when I created this profile -- I'm just surprised that they actually caught me on it, because I'm usually pretty good at avoiding the consequences of stuff like this. xD (and I haven't checked the guidelines in a while, so I wasn't sure if I could still submit mature stuff)


I was a member of Yiffstar before I found FA, and that's mainly the reason I left. Its only advantages are a few decent stories and the fact that there are no age restrictions (none that I remember anyways). ;D

I never posted anything mature on my account prior to turning 18 (...well, I still haven't), and didn't use the favourites function at all, so I was able to have no problem with having the mature content filter off for... actually, about as long as you've had your account. (Looking at it, I see that mine was registered 15 days before yours. Amusing coincidence, that.)

... Er. Yiffstar most certainly does have age restrictions, as one can expect of any site dedicated to such content. In fact, there's a stickied thread in the Yiffstar News forum quite specifically stating this.

Also, while I'm here, I shall add that I very strongly resent you for seeming much the more respectable than I was at 16; that you draw better than I now only compounds this, and I could go over a number of other, even more arbitrary and senseless things which contribute.

My problem was just that I linked my dA account. :/ If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't be having this problem, but I'm much more active on dA and therefore wanted everyone to check out that profile too.

I can submit mature pictures, but I can't see them unless I go on my "Stats" page, and even then it only shows thumbnails. xD I can also see mature thumbnails in my inbox, but I can't view the actual submissions.

Damn, that sucks.. :( There should be a clause or rather some additional code, that only allows you to see your own uploaded mature artwork, regardless of your age/mature viewing setting. ;)

First off, what business do they have judging what you can and can't look at by referencing your 'age' on another site? For all they know, your dA age could be the lie! XD This kinda thing burns me up. It's the kinda thing that would make me permanently leave a site and start advertising against it.

Yeah, but I can't deny that I'm underage because once they've taken away your mature-viewing privileges, you have to send them a picture of your ID to verify that you're 18+. Since I'm not, and I still want to be an active part of FA, I just kinda have to live with it. :P

His dA profile gave the admins (apparently justified) reason to believe that he's most likely lieing in saying that he's allowed to turn off the mature content filter. If he's not, then he can prove it.
