Just curious. I've been mining on my gaming computer for a while but I'm now in the process of building a cyrpto mining rig. Got a MSI Tomahawk motherboard with six pci-e slots with a cheap celeron, Thermaltake 1500w 80+gold psu, I've collected some 8gb RX580s and GTX1080s which I expect will do about $600/month mining BTC and Ethereum. I'm spending about $2k on hardware so the break even point is about 3.5 months. I'd really like some 3060s for mining but with the current hardware market you practically have to sell an organ for a 30 series. As it is I paid more than they're actually worth for every GPU I'll be running. Gotta spend it to make it and all that, by summer the machine will have broken even and started making money.
