It has been a while indeed! I was just thinking of you and wondering about giving you a nudge! I hope you're doing well, and it's great to hear from you again!
I'm doing pretty well these days. A little bit snowed in at the moment, but on the other hand that gives me more time to work on my writing, which is never a bad thing.
I still pop by your page every month or so to see what new art you've commissioned, but I'm always too introverted and shy to say hi.
It's good to hear you're doing well! I hope you're stocked up enough for your snow-in. I wonder when they're going to start providing drone-delivery of groceries as a service for frequently snowed-in communities.
I'm on the tail-end of my first vacation in a long time. I think I wasted most of it sleeping when I should have been hunting for a therapist and a dentist. The art made me feel productive, though! Totally cheating with that.
Aw, well that's okay. I'm flattered you still stop by now and then. That's really sweet of you!
I'm pretty well stocked. I just did my grocery shopping a day or two before the snow, so I'll be good for a little while. And it's kind of a rare thing 'round here, when we mostly get rain and mud, so probably no drones here for a while. But, on the bright side, it has been nice and quiet with no traffic on the road.
Glad to hear you managed to get a vacation, and hey, getting some much-needed rest is a good thing, too. Sometimes your body knows what it needs better than you do, after all. Though I do hope you can find both a therapist and a dentist without any trouble. And it's not cheating to draw, or to take pride in it! I think that's awesome!
Oh, was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing riiiight about the time this was posted, I think. c: I'm perpetually nervous about contacting people I haven't in a long time, and this feeds back into itself for eternity...
I'm uncertain how long it's been. I now live in a different state where it is cold and there is ice everywhere now and my driveway is frozen into a solid sheet of crystal-clear ice and I had to park in the yard instead, which the state is also somewhat more okay with than the previous one. The same ice also froze around all the grass, turning them into something like a transparent pencil with yellow or green "lead."
About five years ago I picked up the coffee/barista trade at a licensed branch of that place that everyone knows about. I'm growing rather bored and exhausted now, as I'm no longer learning, we've ballooned in sales well over management's willingness to hire and staff, and may graduate to a location less corporate in nature and more willing to assist me in becoming better at what I do, rather than simply being "good enough." I'll probably switch shortly after I teach the rest of the staff to stop wringing out tea bags why do you do that it explicitly tells you not to in training you're ruining the tea argh why poor tea ; ;
I've been learning techniques on solving the 3x3 puzzle cube. I'd say Rubik's Cube, but that is a licensed trademark. Also, their puzzles are not very good and you can get a way better one for $10 online. There are manufacturers that do nothing but puzzle cubes and other puzzle shapes, like tetrahedrons and bananas. It's a confusing, upside-down world where the things that are made in China are better than the American-made ones, which are also made in China. Also there's like two dozen different methods for solving them and of course I picked the weird esoteric one instead of the one everyone else does because I am like that.
I also have a Discord account because that's how everyone communicates now I think? If you want it, let me know, I would definitely love to talk again C:
