Some bad news

Yesterday I woke up to snow as far as the eye can see, even though snow falls probably 1-10 days a year where I live. Also, the roads are very icy.
But wait, there’s more!
After that, I got news that my grandma died. I was sad when I heard it, but I had been prepared for a while. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer about a year ago, so I knew what was coming. She had been going downhill since then, and yesterday was the day. But I see it in a different way. She was suffering and in pain for so long, and I believe death was her freedom from that pain. She’s reunited with my grandpa, and I couldn’t be happier.
Sorry this was a downer. I tried making this not so gloomy by finding the positives in a bad situation, so I hoped that helped.
