I'll stick with my old system with CFW, replaceable batteries, and easy to use USB. =3 I can even plug it into my PC and play on my big wide screen monitor. it's awesome.

PSP go was meant to curb piracy..no UMD to stop using liberty city stories, no battery = no pandora among other things.

Mmm, I think if that was their overriding ambition, they would have done something more than just redesigning the PSP, leaving the old ones completely supported including new UMD releases.

Guess if you want to use your PSP on the go, you just would have to get some kind of car adapter. I've got a special one for plugging anything with a two or three prong plug!

I've actually got a grip with a built in battery for my PSP 2000 and on a full charge I've got roughly 6 hours of UMD game time on it, maybe more.

PSP 1000 all the way lol, even if it came out in 2004 lol


if you ask me i think it's time sony decided to actually "upgrade" the psp and give it better hardware, instead of just making 20 of the same systems, but a different shape

All the need to do now is give it a second Analogue stick >.< They could very easily do that.

I would buy a PSP Go, to but I already owe a PSP (1004... YAY for old handhelds xD), and since the Go doesnt have a UMD drive I won´t buy it (and to he honest, one PSP is enough for me )

I'm with Meekrat, I've got one of the 1000 and it works fine for me so until they come up with something that is actually a decent upgrade I'll stick with it, and fisk, I have a 64gb flashdrive, sony is just being lazy with only that 16gb memory

There are good reasons to keep the old one around.

yea but right now production costs are high for fast 16GB flash memory, anything higer and it wouldn't be a smart move to make money on, besides, you can add more memory to the go. but, if you already have a psp (like most people do by now lol) it's really not that drastic of an upgrade

As far as PSP screens go, I think you've merely had bad luck. The PSPs that I've handled have had flawless screens. Of course, it is possible that your experiences are the norm and that I've had exceptionally good luck. The world may never know.

Ahhh, the screens! >< I agree, even though I've only been through 2 PSP models (2000 and 3000) there is always something wrong with them. And a friend of mine's screen busted twice o.0 This one innocent little crack.

My issues with the PSP go ar

It costs $50 or more than a standard PSP

NO UMD drive, for new owners that is not an issue but considering I have around 10 UMDs and there is NO way to transfer the UMDS to a memory stick you would have to re-purchase the games

Most games that you d/l are the SAME price or MORE than the UMD version, usually if you have a digital copy it would cost less than a physical media version.

oh and there is already an exploit for the GO with the Save state feature

And I don't have to re-purchase anything, since I can still play UMDs on my old PSP.
