We talked to our landlady, and apparently the whole front floor needs rebuilt, as well as parts of the kitchen. The kitchen appliances need replaced, and the entire inside of the building needs deep cleaned from all of the soot.
We're not being held liable for damages, which is a blessing, but I really miss my kitties a lot.
Our good friend, who gave them to us as kittens, gave them a proper burial and is planting flowers and catnip on their grave. My heart is broken, but my spirit isn't!
We've been working really hard on getting everything squared away, which unfortunately included throwing almost everything I own away. π__π
A lot of family and friends are donating furniture here and there, and we have a GoFundMe for other things like appliances and household items such as a shower curtain or toaster or anything else that needs replaced.
