Coming off hiatus soon + Questions about screen table...

You are now reading shit nobody likely cares about.
Long story short, I've graduated college, have a job that'll get me by for a while and finished clearing the last tier for FFXIV. With life finally settling down again, I want to get back into working on projects, both personal and (eventually) professional. I know that there are plenty of reviews out there on YouTube and the like, but I'd rather get opinions and insights from people who aren't sponsored by product brands and the like.
- For those who own an iPad or Galaxy Tab and use it for art, what are your opinions of it? Is it as good as or any better than something like the "mid-range" products that come from the likes of Wacom, Huion or XP-Pen?
- If, by any chance, I decide to get an iPad, what art programs would you recommend using on it?
Also, this isnt really related to tablets, but aside from simply practicing to shake the rust off, are there any good online courses on art fundamentals, anatomy and/or character design out there that I should consider taking a look at?

Procreate is like, an 8 dollar application and works wonders for IPad users, and you can also get CSP on IPad.
