The Fence: Checking In!

Hello everybody! It's been a hot minute since I updated my journal (You can thank my 3rd shift job and painting my 40k minis for that) but over the last couple of months, I've acquired quite a few adoptables and had an idea for a series to upload. I want to call it "Checking In!" and it would involve illustrating my take on some of the adoptables I've taken in for my graphic novel series with a side-by-side comparison.
While some could call me uncreative for this take, what I love about adopts is that my book series takes place in a grand multiverse and has a diverse array of species and involves multiple planes of existence. While I am not crossing into any other established properties (this isn't fanfiction) even my own creativity has it's boundaries and I like crossing bridges with other creators as well as wanting to support other artists. It's really satisfying to me to find inspiration from other artists because as creators, I have this strange belief that we're all connected on some level or another. I know I'm creative enough on my own, but to be able to help other creators is a life goal of mine and it's cool to see how other people bring certain characters and creatures to life. When I do write my book series, Fablefold, I even wanted to hire a cadre of trusted comic artists to illustrate different chapters, though I'll still be providing my own art and direction to the series.
But I look forward to showing the creators I've purchased designs from what I've been doing with them and would be a great opportunity to reconnect; I feel like we need to given the times.
As a bonus, I'd also love to show pictures of my Warhammer 40k miniatures, but I often debate if that is good material to put on a furry art site, lol. But given the jokes the 40k crowd likes to make about furries, I think it would be kind of ironic to come out as both a furry and a 40k player. Eat shit, stereotypes!
So long for now, and I will be uploading more!
