No it is mostly me avoiding talking to people then fearing that the other is not interested anyway so not talking further for fear of just being boring or something anyhow (i let, like, fifty comments I meant to reply to stack up on here for quite a while...). I wanted to link you to a bunch of random experimental shorts by some dude that I found on the internet but I haven't been able to work up the courage. Was thinking of phoning you randomly but that probably would be awkward and stupid.

Also Antichrist is pretty fucked up.

Dan Deacon does some great stuff. There's some really interesting and cute things on the album Spiderman Of The Rings. Really exuberant. On his second album Bromst things are a bit more sombre and "mature" mostly because half the songs are about getting older and/or dying.

Phew. old and dying...it's such a great dichotomy having a genre like IDM and synth electronica contrasted by such mellow, soulful lyrics. Thanks for the breakdown, I'll enjoy checking him out more...

Not saying I don't want your references, but I keep such a busy lifestyle I need things in moderation :P An onslaught of 50 links would probably result in me not seeing any because I come from the old school e-mail camp of actually reading people's messages and responding thoughtfully to each. I swear to god, like 40 of my friends ignore all my e-mails, or read and just delete them, which is essentially the same.

The acting in it is damn good. It's pretty "conventional" camera, pacing, and style-wise compared to the rest of Von Trier's catalogue though.
