Always found FA nice n cozy myself. No algorithms at work, no one vying for attention. Everyone just has their own little space where they keep to themselves for the most part.

Probably because it's just an art site, unlike Twit which is Art, news, socials, reactions, corporate branding, and whatever else the algorithms like.
FA's just a gallery site, good one at that, so it just attracts gallery people.

Getting a giggle out of the idea that FA can be considered better than literally any other site on the internet, considering everything I've seen, but absolutely not surprised that the favorable comparison is to Twitter, which I believe is designed to maximize interpersonal conflict to drive profit. I know visibility is huge for artists and getting commissions and such, but every time I find an artist here with art I like that's gone inactive in favor of posting their art exclusively to Twitter I cry a little bit inside. Also it sucks as a gallery and I hate it.

Anyways welcome to FA, and, uhh, make sure that your response to it going down on any given day is "lmao" and not some form of panic. It likes to do that, and it'll be fine in a day or two.
