Thankfully the pain is mostly gone, but it's been replaced by a dull ache that I'm hoping isn't going to get worse. I know that kind of pain, because I've felt it before. Right before I had to have surgery to drain an abscess.
I'll refrain from going into detail on how I removed the gauze he stuffed up there, but I suspect he used a ramrod from a musket.
