Let's talk personal, confrontational matters!😳

I'm no stranger to confrontation, so here are some QnA's about things that are quite personal and confrontational to me. Again, my statement might change on these in the future, but I think I've covered the bases...
Q) You say in your bio that you are male, yet you have female fursona's? is everything all right?
A)
Yeah, I'm fine. There are many reasons a male or maleish individual might prefer to have a female fursona, and only one of them is creepy (which I won't cite here. All you need to know is that there are people who are so closed-minded that they think this would be the only reason. These are the people to avoid anyways.)
- Of course, closeted transsexuals are a thing, and you might be just as closed to it for yourself as you are to others. Roleplaying a female personage can then help you open up a very little on a side that you didn't know (or more likely didn't realise) you had.
Do I have dysphoria? Not more than that I want digigrade legs and a fluffy muzzle and body 😛. Do you need to have dysphoria to be transsexual? Obviously not, mind over matter! But yeah, I still have no idea where I fall on this spectrum, and I don't pretend otherwise.
- "Males are not my thing". I always hated the stereotypical "hyper-masculine boy", and even representing me as having light muscular features feel strange for me.
- On the opposite side, "Females quickly tend to be more cute!". Not entirely true, but it is still so that traditional society have completely rejected male cuteness in favor of female cuteness, and it shows in the designs. Of course, some bad tongues might argue that the fact themself that people want to cute is unnatural, to which I say "sorry, but not everybody is like you"
- "I feel less confrontation as a female character". Again, long live these society norms where males have to be creeps and females have to be sex objects! Yet, why not use it a little bit to your advantage... people *do* have different expectations of you.
- "You want a little extra space between your character and you". Yeah, it can break the assumption people have to always assume things on the internet, and it can make for an interesting experiment seeing how different people would react.
- "You have a fetish in gender-bending, or you just generally like that thing". Totally valid, again there are no invalid reasons (again, except the really creepy messed-up reason that I won't cite here, and that honestly ruins it forthe rest of us), and you do your thing!
Again, where do I fall? Somewhere in the middle! Does not matter, you don't actually have to have a reason, it is just that these are a sample of the various reasons one might have.
I challenge you to come up with a gender-swapped fursona of yourself! Who knows what you might discover about yourself...
Q) You say that you are asexual/aromantic, does that mean that you are single?
A) Well, this might sound strange to you, mr.Allosexual, but the truth is I really don't feel much in the way of attraction towards boys or girls. So I'm really not in the market for it! This does not mean that I would never accept a relationship but without a drive for it yeah I'm not actively searching for it.
I know there is apparantly an army of "involuntary celibracies" that goes around the internet, and according to the media they are doing seriously harmfull things to other people. Whilst I'm not the right person to ask whether the current dating system *is* actually effective, I cannot deny the fact that I stand a little different on the subject. I don't have this urge to "get a boy/girlfriend", and hence I haven't even started actively looking. I had a quick date just to try it out, but I made it over cause in truth I didn't feel anything. And no, I don't have to date "every single cute boy/girl that I meet", just cause society says me to do so!
Sometimes I wonder if my libido is actually lower than usual. I don't like porn, I don't like oversexualisation, and (sarcasm) aren't boys expected to always be horny?
But like how a wise Redditor once said "If gay was a choice I'd be gayer", I would say that "if attraction was a choice, I'd rather feel no attraction at all". Same goes double for sex stuff. It is a weird unnatural feeling, and I don't like it!
Q) Pineapple on Pizza?
A) I actually have the good excuse that I'm not the biggest fan of pineapple anyways. However, I recently got a good-quality tosti containing some pineapple, and now I do understand how some people might like it. Still, it remain true that it wasn't my thing, and in the same vein I don't think I'll like it on pizza either. But how can I say, I haven't ever tried it! (well, that one little school incident doesn't count)
You know what, actually, I know this is gonna sound strange but if you made it so far please ask some other very personal questions. I almost never get replies on my journals, as far as I know nobody ever reads them 😭 so even a sign of life would be much appriciated for this lonely fox...

Also, some people use barbecue sauce instead of tomato sauce on pineapple pizzas too. It tastes awful and will probably give me diabetes in the future, but if someone is going to make a sweet pizza, they might as well go all the way.
Countries I have visited include UK, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Austria, Swissland, Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Hongrie, Greece... all countries from more or less west-Europe, I've never been outside the continent.
Also, yeah, I can see the barbecue sauce being a thing with pineapple, cause it was also on that tosti. I usually prefer the slightly less sweet Char Sui sauce for that. But not on pizza 😁
Also, I will need to try making a tosti here. It looks like a grilled-cheese sandwich, but so much better.
And yes, regular Tosti's are nothing special but still damn tasty. It is that within the process of fancifying everything out there, a few restaurants have created their own fancy interpretation of it; and this was one of them.
Moving forward, Anatolia was controlled by the Hittites during the Bronze Age, then most major civilizations around the Mediterranean Sea collapsed around this time, so we will just skip ahead. Also the Trojan war is suspected to have happened around this time. The city of Troy during this time was actually only one of 10 layers of the city that were all built ontop of the ruins of the old.
The Romans also ruled over Anatolia for most of their history, but they split into the Eatsern and Western Roman Empires due to differences in their Christian denominations. The Orthodox Eastern Roman Empire would became the Byzantine empire, while the Catholic Roman Empire would collapse to political corruption and Germanic invaders.
The Byzantine empire was the successor to the Roman Empire, and it continued its glory for another thousand years. It built the wall of Constantinople over this time, which was so impenetrable, that the Mongoles were too intimidated to invade them. In addition to this, they also constructed the Hagia Sophia, an extensive network of aqueducts, the basilica cistern, a chain that could block off the golden horn bay in Constantinople, and a gigantic hippodrome. However, the Byzantines were also Brutal is most Empires were and still are. They killed 30,000 rioters during the Nika Riots, and they poked the eyes out of an entire army with their swords.
In the year 1453, the Ottoman empires claimed Constantinople and renamed it to Istanbul, after carrying a portion of their fleet into the Golden horn over a hill, in order to avoid the chain blocking off the Golden Horn. They continued to conquest during this time into North Africa and the Balkans. In addition to this, Anatolian trade routes became unsafe for Christian merchants to travel through due to the Islamic laws in place, which was a motive for finding a trade route to Asia, and it ultimately resulted in Christopher Columbus traveling to America.
By the 20th Century, the Ottoman Empire lost a lot of land, and it was dissolved after World War 1, and most of its land was given to the Allied powers. However, during the Turkish war of independence, Mustafa Kemal Pasa (Atatürk) led his people to victory during the bloody war of the Turkish war for independence from 1919-1923. After this, Turkey reclaimed Anatolia and Atatürk up he door reforms, to create alliances with the west, such as by changing the Turkish alphabet from and Arabic to a Latin alphabet.
Turkey is a member of NATO and that is why the United States put their nuclear missiles there. This act ultimately lead to the Soviet Union putting their missiles in Cuba in response, and that resulted in the U.S and the U.S.S.R almost ending human civilization in the Cuban missile Crisis.
Turkey during remainder of the 20th century dealt with periodic coup d’états, in order to eliminate political corruption and maintain democracy.
This brings us to the 21st century and this is the point where histor becomes politics, so I will spare you my political opinions.
If you made it all the way down here, thank you uwu.
As for France, I grew up in a region that used to be Occitanie; a massive and mostly forgotten region that used to span from Spain to Italy. Most Troubadours sang in the Language d'Oc, even those outside of Occitanie; because it was considered the most beautiful language out there. There was no central ruler, it was never united, there was just a common culture. From the 13th century onwards, French kings slowly conquered the country; speaking the Language d'Oc in schools went prohibited in 1881; yet still to this day you hear elderly people speaking in it when they talk to each other.
And west-european countries have a history of oppressing their local cultures in favour of nationwide cultures, that is frankly not much told about. Funny cause they love to complain about non-western countries doing it whilst they have been guilty of it too in the past. At least nowadays they are a little more normal around it...
However, I always loved how the Dutch had their own holidays (not only Sinterklaas instead of Santa Claus, also for instance Sint Maarten instead of Halloween). The American versions do feel kinda artificial to me; as if it is only made to be as commercial as possible...
Also, i forgot to mention this earlier, but Saint Nicholas also lived in modern day Turkey as well, in the city of Patara on the Mediterranean sea in 270 AD
Yeah, I got to admit I might be a bit biased on the subject, but that's just cause I grew up with it, and Dutch media is not very neutral either. But still, it is a hot topic, and I'm well aware of that...
We all have our own biases, just being aware of them is important. Realistically, it is difficult for any tradition to not become a hot topic eventually as our mindsets change.
Also, thank you for the favorite on my last post.
Thanks for the conversation too, I think FA is starting to run out of space for these long-winded discussions 😂 but I think we both learned today about each other's country! Not what I was expecting on this post, but still wholesome... 💜
I enjoyed this too.
