Thoughts/Updates on sketchmission streams
4 years ago
So far, they've been a decent success, as y'all have probably noticed from my mass amount of uploads of all the sketches from the week, haha
Only problem is, in all fairness, these were less "sketches" and more like, "not quite full detail works", if that makes sense? Or in other words, like, I was definitely spending more time than I should on them in order to get them done. Not for all of them, mind, but for a fair few of them. So I can imagine a few possibilities for that:
- Pare down ideas even harder for people or spend even less time on things (which I don't imagine working, because paring down ideas heavily probably means they won't be able to get close to what the person wants, and me spending even less time on things would just make quality drop pretty hard, I fear)
- Take longer commission slots for a higher cost (which I'm leaning towards, both because a good few people have told me I'm undercharging and also because then I could work on a piece for a good amount of time and get it polished to where I want it)
Of course, if I took longer slots, it's not like I couldn't like, charge less if it only takes me a short time to do something. It's just that like, for the most part, I think the majority of sketchmissions I did deeeeefinitely took more than an hour. And not that I mind doing that, it's just like, if that's the case I should stop trying to do 1-hour things as the standard, when people are wanting more.
So yeah! Be ready for me to play around with that for a little bit. Probably like, aim to do 2-3 slots per stream or whatnot.
Anyway, I'll be doing that this coming week a few times, hopefully, and then I might have to take a break for a while, or at least, limit what I'm doing in streams. I'm about to have people around the place I'm living again, and they don't know about the vore stuff, and I'm not sure I want them to know, which would make it hard to record things. So it might be more like, commission streams but without me voicing anything. Things like putting sounds to animation, or more ambient pieces. Or maybe I'll just concentrate on music, since I have a lot of things to do with that too! Or maybe I'll find opportunity to voice things. Not quite sure on that front yet, but if anything I'm imagining a short break from streaming while figuring out what the plan is. Soon as I get a new place to live, that's when we can definitely go full-hog on vorny voiced stuff, that's for sure.

I'd imagine there'd be opportunity for quicker 30-second audio recordings. Short and sweet loops, on top of the longer scripts you work on, and you can charge for the time it takes rather than having a fixed cost for a slot. I think it'd work especially since you're displaying the amount of time you're working on the project too, so it's transparent.
Sorry for the rambling reply. Hope to catch more streams!
Also, you seem pretty unsure with everything you say. So probably need to try it all out, then tweak. And no one sensible would hold it against you. Also we all know the pain of hiding kink art from roommates :P
