Hugs

I've been through chemotherapy and intrathecal chemotherapy as a kid to beat cancer. Thankfully I was about 4 to 5 years old when it was started. But it is very hard on your body. It made my bones brittle, pretty sure it hurt my heart, and with radiation made my hair follicles get damaged. Plus it ruined my stomach so bad that I could barely eat anything. Mostly soup, bread, and 7Up. Stomach is still messed up today though not nearly as bad.

I knew about some of the symptoms, and considering my stepdad is in his late 70's or early 80's, I knew it would be rough on him. There was a small part of me that also realized (though I didn't want to face the fact) that it could kill him as well. He's been through so much...and I figured it would be especially rough on him, but had hoped that maybe, if he could survive it, it might cure his cancer and he could live a little longer. But, there was no guarantee.

Yeah. Hug. It is really rough if you are older. Best wishes buddy.

They won't really. He believes he won't live until his next birthday...in June. He isn't eating much, and there is no way to reverse his condition. He is near the end, I'm afraid. *hugs gently back*
