Should I get a Fursona?
For the longest time, I've been commissioning art of Casey Newman. She's a character of mine that's gone through different forms and phases and even identities.
I've never actually made a fursona for myself; Torikk. The person.
How did you guys pick which animal you would base yourself around? Did you sit down and think about it? Did it just come to you?
I think it's well past time I treated myself and gave myself an anthro persona online. :)

So it was a bit of choice, and story building overtime that brought Luci and rabbit's as kind of my default. Ahe's interchangeable with me now when I'm referenced in different communities, heh.
I was probably going to mix my Twitch avatar with the fursona I had in mind. I love Casey, but she has always been my RP character, not a representation of me.
Most of my IRL friends have sonas of their own, so I kinda wanted to make one that I could use in more 'personal' settings, if that makes sense.
Makes total sense to me. There is certainly parts of Luci that I emphasis more then I would be for myself. I guess to say I have them act in a way I wish I could with no inhibitions and no stress/IRL to hold them back?
To that degree they aren't fully me, but more like parts I wish I could be more. Or maybe more a goal to work for. To be that pillar that people can lean on.
I feel like I'm kind of flip-flopping now, but Luci is still me, even if not every part of me. I can easily see myself still leaning towards a rabbit too, even with TF/change being part of who I am too.
