The timing was definitely not ideal! As it is, I delayed my start date by 2 weeks and I didn't want to push it any more lest they decide I'm more trouble than I'm worth. I've been improving a lot already and hopefully that continues so I have no trouble with work.

Glad to hear! I had surgery a few weeks ago, myself. I'm recovered mostly from the surgery except it bruised a nerve in my arm and that's going to be taking longer to heal. It was an expected thing due to the nature of the surgery. It sucks but I'm doing well myself.
