Looking for specific strategy / action games on steam

I'm looking for strategy / action games on steam that have turn based interception-fire elements akin to Valkyria Chronicles that have furry-like / animal-humanoid characters in world war-like settings. Hit me up with suggestions, obscure / niche / popular / new / old ones are all accepted.
Biography of why I posted this:
"It always irked me that for how amazing Valkyria Chronicles and Valkyria Chronicles 4 was; your troops were limited to ten, this included tank commanders which both took up 1 slot, and a pre-determined ally also taking up an 3rd slot such as an essential scout, shocktrooper, or sniper. I longed for a way to use all my reserves at the same time but no dice. Now I search for games similar to Valkyria chronicles in terms of mechanics, but with much less limitations on who you can bring out to the field; something more grandiose than a dinky little platoon who can't even use all their reserves, on a grander military-like theater. To this day I found nothing can compare, but I've beaten both VC 1 and VC 4 multiple times, and games like XCom and Wargroove while being good suggestions, just don't have the same flair the VC series for me had. Thus the reason for me posting this."
