Vaccination neurological side effects awareness - Boyfrie...
Hey everyone, I wish I could word things a bit better, but here's the situation...
April has been HELL. One week after my boyfriend, Pegalis, got his first Moderna vaccine shot on March 26th he developed neurological side effects:
Vertigo, eyes wouldn't stop "nodding", high blood pressure, shallow breathing, arms/hands/neck trembling.
We've been to urgent care 4 times, specialists 2 times, 3 doctors...I'm beginning to loose count.
He's had an MRI, x-ray, blood tests, more tests, but everything comes up as normal and the doctor's are saying something is wrong,
but they can't figure it out, or it's misdiagnosed and he's given a pill to take.
We were absolutely terrified he was going to die. Each day got worse. Doctors were baffled and would give conflicting diagnosises.
I couldn't be with him in urgent care, I've only been able to be with him during blood tests and when seeing the specialists.
CDC & gov websites list NOTHING about these symptoms, yet here they are: https://www.drugdiscoverytrends.com.....-side-effects/
After 3 weeks we were told about friend of a friend who had similar symptoms (he had the Pfizer vaccine).
He said his lasted for 2 weeks, but are still slightly around. He directed us to the different online links.
Symptoms can last several weeks to several MONTHS. https://vestibular.org/forum/dizzin.....-side-effects/
Currently, after 4 weeks, Pegalis' symptoms are FINALLY backing off. He doesn't tremble, breathing is better, blood pressure is down,
can focus his eyes more but they still bounce and are still difficult to focus. He made a video of what his eyes do:

THANKFULLY he was never nauseous, hearing was fine, no pain, mind was active and aware. Not a stroke/heart attack/MS.
We're absolutely exhausted, also beyond relieved symptoms are backing down. Was beginning to prepare end of life arrangements.
On the plus side we're able to have time together, we just didn't think it would be in this way.
However we have been doing a lot of driving and spending time outside, going places, and keeping our spirits and support for one another high.
He still is teasing me mercilessly and has had this incredible positivity throughout all of this that has me in complete awe.
He's absolutely one of a kind, and I'm so grateful to share our lives together.
I'm not saying don't get vaccinated, I'm just wanting to put this out there in case anyone has gone through similar side effects like this.
Half the doctors ignored and passed this off as something else. YOU HAVE TO BE FIRM AND BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE.
It took us several visits to urgent care to be taken seriously. Yes, we're all still learning new information about the virus and the
vaccinations and we've never encountered anything like this before, but this applies to anything. Don't be complacent, don't be silent.
I love you all. Just keep swimming. Take good and loving care of yourselves.
Love,

Hopefully the side effects fully dissapear, it's so unfortunate to get the 1 in a million with these kind of things.
And yeah, he's getting better incrementally, it's just his vision that "bounces" now, but he's able to focus.
He pretty much got the side effect jackpot with this one. =S
Was absolutely terrifying. I'm just now getting my strength and energy back as well. It's been a draining situation.
Very happy it's coming back to normal, I do know of these symptoms though I would be happy mine were "just" due to vaccination and prone to disappear...
I have to head out right now, but I'm going to send you a private message when I get back.
Thankfully he's doing a LOT better now. His symptoms are almost gone, the only thing left is that his eyes still bounce a little and can be difficult to focus, but he's breathing fine and doesn't have tremors or vertigo. We're absolutely exhausted and grateful.
Thank you so much Zar for your comments btw <3
*vaccinated hugs*
I hope you're doing well! Thankfully my boyfriend's symptoms are all gone with the exception that his eyes still bounce just a little. He's a 9 on the 1-to-10 scale. We're so worn out, but so grateful this is pretty much over. *HUGSQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE*
I hope things continue to move in a positive direction!
Thankfully his symptoms are gone, tho his eyes still bounce a little every now and then.
We're exhausted, but grateful this has passed. <3
Your BF may have just had some sort of allergic reaction that manifested itself as neurological effects for whatever reason. My mom had the Moderna vaccines and had no side effects aside from the soreness where she got jabbed, and I had the Pfizer vaccines with no side effects aside from that soreness. Some other coworkers who got it did experience fatigue or feeling sick and a few had to take a sick day, but it went away quickly. Best of luck to you two.
Thank you so much for everything and for your well wishes *hugs*
We're exhausted, but grateful it seems to be over. <3
After 6 weeks my boyfriend's side effects have dissipated with the exception that his eyes still "bounce" just a little every now and then.
We think it's over, we're absolutely exhausted and grateful. <3
Thank you for the awareness, and also for confirming it's not MS. A lot of it sounded like MS symptoms. I'm still concerned for you both. :(
After 6 weeks, my boyfriend's symptoms have stopped, except his eyes still bounce a little every now and then.
He feels he's about 90%-98% back to normal with that.
We're so exhausted but grateful things seem to be done.
And we made sure to report everything. It seems to have been a one-in-a-million reaction to being vaccinated itself, not to a specific vaccine.
Doctors don't listen, or Know your body's reactions better than you, and other things. Some even saying you haven't been on the med long enough to know about side effects.
My fave was a doctor that honestly said "I don't care if you have side effects. Keep taking it and they will go away in 5 days"... The med in question was marketed as one of the most sedative and mentioned nothing for anything I have.
When you don't know a med go to the maker's site first...
After 6 weeks things seem to be 90%-98% back to normal, only his eyes bounce just a little every now and then, but all the other symptoms have ceased.
We're absolutely exhausted but grateful.
It's perfectly possible I'm 100% wrong.
but here's a blurp about it:
https://www.frontiersin.org/article.....019.00131/full
https://www.psychiatrictimes.com/vi.....mune-disorders
Due to the fact psychology and traditional medicine do not post in the same journals, and rarely work together, it's been slow (half a century slow) to start getting noticed.
People randomly get "ill" with psycosis, and neurological conditions, and it turns out it's an autoimmune disorder. Frequently these things aren't diagnosed, and there's stories of kids and adults dying who -may- have had this issue, but it's too late to tell years later. Some of the kids have recurrences over their lifetime. It disrupts their lives and education.
If it were the case for these people, it can be said it has nothing to do with the shot itself, therefor the larger public is safe. It's that some folk's immune systems go nuts, which is a good thing for them to know about themselves.
Hope he recovers soon and without intrusive long term issues!
I hope you're doing as well as can be!
Thankfully, after 6 weeks, my boyfriend's symptoms have ceased, except his eyesight still bounces a little every now and then.
One of the doctors we went to said this could be a reaction to being vaccinated itself, not the vaccine.
Definitely a one-in-a-million jackpot of misery.
Thank you for the links, it's incredible to think about the connection. There's still so much we're learning!
*hugs*
On August 30th he was found dead of an accidental drug overdose of meth and alcohol. He had just proposed to me 2 weeks prior. I had no clue he was doing drugs. It's not him and I'm completely gutted.
As I've been having to go thru all of his things I just recently found used needles and a bloody rag in his workvan. This month has been absolute hell, and my worst fears come true as since I'm not legally on any of his paperwork for the house and vehicles, and I worked for him and depended on him for financial support. I am without a home, a car, and a job.
His only surivivng sister has named me executor of his estate, but first I have to take care of myself. I am selling 90% of my things. Everything in this house is a painful reminder of what we had, what we were supposed to have, and how he hid an entire life life from me. I feel emptied and hung inside out.
Fortunately I have friends with me, I know I am loved and I am not alone, but the sheer magnitude of what has happened, everything that has been traded out for fucking meth, and what I am left to deal with....overwhelming doesn't even begin to describe it.
I'm hanging on, and I promise I am not going to do anything to harm myself, but damn does everything hurt. *hugs
Taking things day by day, hour by hour.
I hear you, and can sympathize.
I'm glad you have friends with you there. Because it is like walking through fire to figure it out, and it smolders for a long time. I second guessed EVERYTHING for years. Things still set me off and make me jumpy about trusting.
They hide things because they know they're in over their head, but don't know how to ask for help. The disease really changes how the mind works.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. It touches everyone now.
