Every artist starts somewhere! I say go for it. The only way to get better is to practice and get constructive feedback. Anyone who bashes on your work or any other budding artists' work is rude and counterproductive (and I will also mention... irrelevant). So, focus on those who want to help you get better/enjoy your work!
