Love These: Disney/Pixar character transformations, transformations using OCs, written work, live-action character transformations, horror character tfs, real people transformations, possession, game characters from franchises I am familiar with, muscle growth, humanoid, human to human, captions, anthro, hypnosis, slow transformations, taking turns to tell the story and getting a turn, Marvel character transformations, DC character transformations, character to character, female to male, male to female.
These Are Good: Pokemon...as long as the person doesn't hammer in some stupid message about 'humans are monsters for putting Pokemon in Pokeballs and should be imprisoned in them themselves', and as long as they don't keep switching between having their Pokemon or transformed humans speak in Poke-speak like in the anime to speaking in English...look, if you can't have one or the other just don't keep switching like that, either have one or the other, also no assimilation plots please and always remember to read the descriptions when you do it (for example if it requires for a fire type Pokemon tf, don't turn into Hitmonchan, Alakazam, or Wiggytuff or Machamp as none of those Pokemon are Fire types, and no attributing moves from another type of Pokemon to the Pokemon you're doing in it especially if said Pokemon cannot learn that move. Yeah, sorry but I don't think that Obstagoon can learn lick and I don't think Machamp can learn hypnosis), intersex, anthro character to other anthro character, getting my turn to tell the story and getting to actually be involved, non-sexual, sequences.
I Find These Interesting: Exploring how it feels to be someone else, turning into a character or person you are dressed as, twinning.
They're Alright Sometimes: Goo or Latex. Sometimes you get good ones and then you get ones like the Changed stuff that makes me go nope...I genuinely dislike anything related to Puro or Changed, got a problem with that? And also taur type transformations.
Tried It and Didn't Like It: Fire Emblem. Yeah...there was this one person I RPed with who insisted on a Fire Emblem character transformation even though I didn't want to do one and well I didn't like it...the character designs in that game just don't appeal to me and the games sound depressing as hell since you cannot come back to life once you die so i'm not going down that well again, Night Furies...now I have nothing against dragon transformations, it's just dragons in general are like the ultimately fantasy movie villain cliche...I mean how many times have we seen someone turn into a dragon or similar monsters, and I KNOW Night Furies aren't typical dragons but they're still dragons, I didn't have any trouble doing transformations into that species so to speak, it's just most of the time i've done those they've fallen under...'cutesy wutesy-lovey-dovey' type stuff that I was collaborated into doing (same with the living plushie monsters and the like, i'm not proud of those, because to me they scream 'the guy I was collaborating with talked me into doing it' and I felt like I was losing my edge, that and the one RPer who pretty much just couldn't think of any original material (basically his character is the same archetype you see in all of these lovey-dovey situations, he's a child character who supposedly is an orphan even though he actually does have parents, we just don't see them because nobody likes them or whatever...this kid runs away from home and finds this overly affectionate lovey-dovey monster and immediately sees a potential mother or father in this creature and without any reason for it, this kid is now the son or daughter of this random monster they just ran into a couple of months ago), world domination plot scenarios...I can't stand it when the person who is portraying their character in an RP supposedly is supposed to be nice in the RP but yet they decide half-way through that they want to turn evil and turn against humanity so they get transformed and take over the entire town and force everyone to be their monstrous minions...look, if it's a good character turning evil like a superhero being turned evil I can do that, but I DON'T like world domination ending scenarios or characters we're supposed to route for because we've heard of how nice a guy they are only for them to screw humanity over, jerk characters can be done well if they have redeeming qualities. Also I know it's just an RP or story but it makes me feel..does the author or person portraying the character want us to hate them? Do they want us to think that they're a horrible person IRL based on the kind of character they play? Also shark transformations. It just bothers me that out of all the fish transformations I see the most common ones are always sharks, like don't they know that non-shark species exist?, Inanimates (tried them for a lark, but i'm not proud of them).
Tried It But Wasn't Familiar With Most Of It: Creepypasta tfs...i've tried it in RPs once but I didn't know that many characters outside of the basic ones like Jeff and Slenderman, Anime character transformations. I am not familiar with most anime most hardcore fans like apart from the basic ones, so asking me to do a Soul Eater, FMA, or even ones for more obscure anime won't be ones i'll do since 1. I don't have a Crunchyroll so I cannot look up all or watch those shows and thus aren't familiar with them. 2. I am not familiar with all of the characters in those shows. 3. You'd have to provide me with a link to a wiki with info about that character beforehand and a picture.
Won't Do These, No No: Lovey-dovey stuff...okay I will do lovey-dovey stuff on some ocassion but I just don't know what to write or to come up with...it's just a bunch of hugging and kissing, and all lovey-dovey characters i've dealt with seem like they are the same character since they're overly affectionate to the point of being needy and just lay around wanting to be squished and hugged all the time and that's boring, can't they ever do anything fun or exciting? I mean come on, just sitting around hugging? You're a big huge freaking creature, surely you could be using that monster power to be awesome and not doing this lame lovey-stuff. Like what am I supposed to write for this? that 'the two monster characters spent a whole hour calling each-other cute names affectionately while wrapping their tails around and purring like felines'? Child characters, as a general rule please keep the age of characters in the RP to teen or adult age, no child characters unless they're not actually children, I am trying NOT to get accused of pedophilia thank you so please no under-age characters and no mature scenarios with under-age characters. Sexual RPs especially if they have forced mature elements in them even if said RP doesn't allow it, if the RP requires you for mature to be done in private, then keep it that way, I don't want to imagine what it would be like to see your characters making out, suiting...stuffing people in costumes ala FNAF is NOT a transformation, stereotype transformations, intelligence draining, god-modding/taking control of other characters unless i'm telling the story or taking turns describing things, bimbos, feral, clothing tf, 'I have no mouth and I must scream' situations, assimilation trope when applied to species that shouldn't be used for it (i'm not saying all werecreatures should be the same morality-wise, but I don't think a werewolf would actually take pleasure in turning other people or forcing them to be like him or her or be portrayed as a mindless assimilator type as that basically just portrays him or her as a 'zombie with fur' in my opinion, also the hiveminded trope would make more sense if this character was a were-insect and not a were-wolf because it would work as a play on words, and also...seriously, demons aren't assimilation types either, but hey i'm not going to tell you how to play your characters), weight gain scenarios in which it's just a skinny character fattening up and making a slob out of themselves (especially if bodily functions are involved), weight gain scenarios in which it's 'fat is awesome, why aren't you fat like me?' both of which are demeaning to overweight people in my opinion (no I don't think pig transformations are demeaning to overweight people or people in general at all since pigs are SUPPOSED to be like that), if it isn't into a character or species known for being hefty/largely built I'll approve of that or even if it's a famous person who is known for being THICC/largely built or even into a DILF or MILF, then yes. Shrinking, age regression, age progression, growth...sorry, but can I please ask any transfomation Rpers out there NOT to go for a creature that is just about as big as a freaking skyscraper, please...stick to normal human sizes please, and please do NOT go into Kaiju territory. Absorption or vore. Non-English speakers/Non-English speakers who fail at RPing. If I spent the whole RP session with someone who does it like this: *looks at sign and says nothing* 'Look mister, can we get this episode going? You've been staring at the sign for an hour and frankly i'm bored.' 'Look, I see a sign. *point to sign* 'Yes...I see it too, it's a very nice one, now can we please hurry up?' 'No...I must look at sign for a few minutes.' 'Aaaaaw come on.' See, it gets boring if I have to sit around waiting for the other guy to do it properly...i'm sorry, but being from another country doesn't excuse your terrible RPing skills. Not doing anything at all throughout the RP or event...'this little monster RP is cute and all but don't you think I should have a line or two or a scene in it and not just have it focus about you? I mean we already spent a whole minute or hour with you learning about you and how you are enjoying your powers, but how about I get a turn, huh? I've been waiting all bloody night for this and all this episode has done has focused on you. Uhhhh...heeeeeeelloooooooo, i'm the star of this too, you know, it's not all about you!' Abrupt endings...wait, so just as I thought this adventure was going to 'go somewhere', it doesn't and it ends...and that's it, there's no definitive conclusion, it just ends. Seriously? Dude, you had me enthralled in your little world only for nothing to happen and then for the adventure to end? What a disapointment. Celebrities from decades other than the 70's and onward. Clown transformations, seriously...why are these a thing? Clowns are people in costumes, they're not an advanced species that hasn't been discovered and they don't wear masks, maybe if it wasn't into Pennywise or Joker i'd love it but not if it's just a generic overly happy clown-goon with no purpose other than to be an assimilating Stepford Smiler in goofy makeup, diapers, body part transformations. Inaccurate Pokemon transformations, look i'm a stickler for accuracy when it comes to Pokemon pairings and Pokemon type transformations, if you have a Hitmonchan tf but have it so he knows Hypnosis or try to pair a Vaporeon up with a Charizard then you are going on this list of 'nope, that's not right'.
