Cold streaks happen. I know I've posted things I've worked hard on to little fanfare, while I sometimes have art or sketches I did mostly for fun drive a lot of engagement. Unfortunately, FA doesn't have any tools to tell you what people are looking for, so you really just have to try you're best. Worst case scenario try something new, like a new theme or do some fanart to shake things up.

I think you do great with the theme you play around with, which is mostly TF stuff. It's what you do best.

The audience for this theme is sort of short in the furry fandom though.

I think your art is great. But always think of it as a work in progress. Every artist should strive to become better, at any specific detail, be it anatomy, be it coloring, background, shading, layering... Etc.

i wonder if people are noticing or checking FA less sometimes though, noticing far fewer comments on stuff i post these days, with no real reason why. same thing with views and faves on some things too. i dunno

Of course not. Your skills are great. Maybe what you're producing isn't as popular right now, but that's not a reflection on you.

If you want to put your work out there a little more, I'd highly suggest finding some Discord groups that cater to fans of your style and spruik a little.

I have started sharing your stuff—as appropriate—on the Transformation! server. (Oh, and of course I share the image and a link back to your post. When I see artists I like, I tend to try and push people to follow them.)

I've only seen you get better and better at drawing! If you're seeing a drop in favorites on submissions, I'm positive it has no relation to your talent.

Think maybe your transformation art just gets more views which isn't unusual. If you put in transformation theme it's easier to spot compared to if you put theme All. They'll be a lot more art to stroll through vs TF theme

I think your art is fantastic, I'd love to commission you eventually in fact. Some of it could be algorithmic. Maybe the search engine is just not putting your stuff out there as much?

Ehhhhhhh... Not sure? Could be anything from the time of posting to how many other people are posting. Could always play around and post at different times or save up a few commissions and post them at the same time. If you can figure out it's interface, Postybirb is a nice tool.

I wouldn't worry. My worst crap always gets faves and the stuff I try with don't, just how it goes sometimes ;)

Eh, it's best not to get too caught up in the numbers, if you can avoid it. They'll fluctuate, some days people are gonna be busy with stuff, but maybe they'll view it in a few days or a month from now, or maybe they just honestly miss it. There's not gonna be a way to know WHY any specific fluctuation happened, and for the most part, it doesn't matter too much. As long as you're not dropping like 75-90% of views or something, anyway.

There are the people that follow and watch, that enjoy the stuff you do. There are the people you care about, that you enjoy seeing the happiness you bring. There are the silent lurkers (like me, generally) that don't always show up well in the numbers. But when it comes down to it, as long as you're enjoying it, what else is there? If you have to force yourself to do stuff you don't like to get views, they won't be views you want.

I guess I'm rambling, it's late for me. I guess I'm trying to say "don't worry so much about raw numbers, worry more about you and the people you care about having a good time".

Also, I need to try to catch you when you have commissions open some time, but I have a bad habit of not checking the site regularly. ^.^;;

No, not at all. I've just been busy with work and I think some of your submission got caught in mass deletings from my inbox.

IT mostly depends on the subject, and when stuff is being posted.

Not to say you are going against others. But depending on when others post their art, it can take views away from yours as well. Either way, your art is not bad. But there is a umber of reasons for low numbers. Very few if any of the 'bad ones' apply to you :3

IMO I think everyone's dealing with low views on everything right now, especially artists. I don't post much here anyway because FA seems to favour NSFW over everything :/

But yeah, don't worry about it.

Maybe FA just changed some algorithms around or something, or Furaffinity itself is having a dip in traffic. Try to not worry about it!

It's all in your head, bud. People can be finicky sometimes. Don't worry about low engagement with some of your posts. Some people either are looking for someone else or just not on to enjoy your stuff yet. I know I usually miss your uploads the first few hours you post them.

You are doing super great art and I still love it, but I am - personally - not that person who likes NSFW stuff :sweatsmile:
It's not like I do NEVER like NSFW, but I try to avoid NSFW content a little
