My preference for my naga Vox is unsafe vore with either willing or unwilling prey, but as a prey I prefer unwilling. I can tolerate safe vore but I just don’t see the point of it whatsoever.

Personally, I think unsafe is great. Kinda brings some sense of an end to the scene, whereas safe would bug me as I'd feel like the prey is just... trapped forever? Or spit back up, I suppose. That's just not as appealing to me, not as much as the implied consequences and finality of an action. That being said, unwilling is also great! I have trouble wrapping my head around the idea of a prey just willingly wanting to subject themselves to that sort of end. To each their own, though!

Ah, yeah. I guess I can understand that. Not agreeing with their viewpoint, but understand where they are trying to come from with it perhaps. Like you said though, it is fantasy, yes. It's good to mentally separate fantasy from reality, but I guess one bleeds over into the other for some people. As long as the people behind the characters in the commission are consenting adults and aren't actually hurting anyone, I don't see an issue with that sort of vore.

Yes, the endosoma community, despite the perception that people wanting things safe would be kind of nice and hugbox-y many of them can be very toxic people.
Its a shame too because its tarnished the reputation for any people into Endo that aren't complete nuttjobs, because they are often made fun of just because of that vocal minority.

Well, to be as broad and fair as possible, literally every community that has public exposure has extremely toxic people in it. I can't think of a single community I consider myself a part of that doesn't have a 'don't go to that shadowy place' section of it that's simply horrid.

There is an odd appeal in "safe" vore (I think it's called endosomaphilia?) where it's more of a security and closeness between the two.

A very good question... I do like melty, painless digestion for the sake of intimacy between pred and prey, with usually willing prey, but I don't mind unwilling and less romantic digestion most of the time. It really varies from scenario to scenario for me: romantic, melty digestion with eventual reformation or remaining as sentient pudge or more realistic unwilling digestion with or without reformation, I can go either way depending on what my brain decides.

My tastes are definately unique when it comes to vore and with my Autism, my brain tends to just decide things. Sometimes I don't mind a vore scenario, sometimes it really bothers me.

I have some rules my brain likes to follow: context is important in fatal scenarios, soul vore is a VERY conditional thing, snakes/nagas cannot be prey in any scenario or harmed in any way, size difference is ideal (Preferably prey being around half the size of the pred), and cannon characters as prey is not ideal, especially in fatal scenarios: unless that is how their story is meant to go.

My brain is kind of all over the place sometimes. Even I am not fully sure of all the rules it goes by.

I'm not autistic so I won't be able to understand that side of it, but thank you for sharing! I do agree with certain things there for my own likes, too. :3

I do go for reformation/cloning though so it doesn't have to be the final end of a character, but I feel those processes should take a few days so they aren't instantaneously back

the reformation/cloning just reminded me of "alternate universes" so I think that's what I'll go with for my own prey characters!

I like both. But I like the domination and the powerlessness of the prey. the fear, the torment of knowing their life is going to end as food.

The actual "fatality" of any vore piece isn't actually a big deal either way for me. So long as the prey doesn't know they're safe, I can enjoy some safe stuff. Vore has a lot more to do with the dichotomy and mechanics of power. If everything is sunshine and cuddles, I'm not into it.
That said I also avoid sadistic stuff.
Vore is so interesting with how varied it can be.
Try not to let some loud, angry kids get to ya. They just try and yell real loud and offensive until someone gives them attention!

A very big part of the thrill in vore art and vore RP is the 'unsafe' nature of it. The prey is being taken in the purest sense, with their very lives at the mercy of the predator.

That said, I am very 'soft' in that I want the prey to survive the experience, and vore art that makes it clear that the prey is digested immediately turns me off to it, though implications of finality can add that extra spice when done subtly.

So, my answer would be that I always like 'safe' vore, but 'unsafe' vore that's done right is my favorite.

for me the appeal of vore is the closeness, the squishiness, and just the idea of being inside someone else/having someone else inside me, experiencing the inner workings of someones guts firsthand, until it becomes unsafe. fatal vore and digestion very VERY rarely appeals to me outside of some specific scenarios, because it usually just makes me sad. dont want anyone to come to harm, even in fiction, ya know? and so it takes away from whatever enjoyment i'd usually get. even my preference for dom/sub interactions have a limit to phsyical harm.

the biggest thing ive seen during my time and limited interaction within the community is that between those two preferences, one side will call the other childish or naive, and the other will call them unfeeling and cruel, and sometimes these feelings fester into outbursts of negativity.

i know what i dont like, it's not my mission to make that anyone else's problem.

While I too love the realistic aspects of unwilling vore and that struggle to survive, I do often have willing desires as well.

It's not so much a desire to die, but rather the curiosity of wondering what it is really like. I tend to only be willing when encountering sentient, 'friendly' predators, where there is almost a playful excitement to it, and gazing into their dark, fleshy gullet gives a welcoming seduction.

Of course, once inside a stomach, I don't want it to be all safe and enjoyable. I like the idea of regretting that stupid decision to allow a predator to devour me. I tend to leave it up to the predator if I pass out before digestion kicks in, or if I'm left to write and suffer in agony.

Specially with vore. Almost everyone is in it for a different reason. I would also like to add that I even prefer Healing vore. Where instead of being digested, you are healed, or get some kind of benefit. It's quite rare, but I love the concept.

The attempt to shame a creator for what they have created is an odd sentiment, assuming the gain by voicing your dislike will have lasting impact. This usually only happens when the artist of gauging interest on a niche subject or to see if their audience would embrace an odd, one off piece that's the artist's personal kink but isn't a kink for everyone.

Though with vore it's clearly very, very decisive.

It's something I encountered years back before I signed off the subject for nearly 16 years. But this 'safety vore', i.e. non-fatal, is what drew me back. Why? I've been into BDSM as the Dominant for most of my life now and the encasement kinks overlapped with vore enough that it got me back into it.

So to me non-fatal is more welcome as I get to keep enjoying the endo/happy pred feels of the same willing and interested prey over and over thus building a relationship rather than letting it go with the last blissful gurgle. Not that I'm against fatal and revival, either, though my tastes differ into my own niche of vore that is not for everyone.

Thus we come full circle- everyone's tastes in vore differ and are selective as much as people's general kink preferences. It shocked me how deep the vore community had grown between 2001 when I abandoned it and then rejoined in 2017. And that scope of preferences is hard to coast through as a creator and it's why I've come to admire and follow so many in recent years. Even if they do something that isn't something I enjoy yet in the end they produce enough that I do not really let it bother me. I expect others to do the same and that is, sadly, expecting a lot nowadays... ah well.

I love all the differences, and I have the same view as you. I watch a bunch of artists who do some content I don't care for, but there may be art of the thing that looks interesting or well done that I fave it anyways! I may not personally draw the thing, but I can admire others who do!

I mostly lean towards safe/endosoma, but I definitely enjoy unsafe/fatal too! Especially as a gore & horror fan. Digestion/hard vore is one of the most gory and terrifying ways to die and I just LOVE drawing the fear and terror on a preys face and all the gory goodness that comes along with it! In the end though I am a total sap. ^^; When it comes to other people's characters, I'll go for any levels of horror! When it comes to my characters, characters I'm emotionally invested in, or my prey friends, I definitely need some sorta fluffy/gentle aftercare separate from the fatal/hard scenario to balance things out.
HOWEVER, my absolute FAVORITE type is unwilling/unwilling, nonfatal, but ALMOST fatal. I love the angst and intensity of it, I love both pred and prey being horrified at the situation, with a NEAR death experience. Or at least the prey terrified out of their mind but the pred HAS to swallow them for some reason or another and feels horrible for scaring the prey so bad. I like emotional and physical torment that ultimately ends up safe and comforting, even though it took the characters going through hell and back to get there. I hope that makes sense! But yeah, I used to ONLY draw soft vore, and when I started drawing hard/gory/fatal, I definitely experienced some harassment as if I was doing some horrible thing. @w@; Though on the other hand, when I posted only soft, I would get fatal people making snarky, rude, and upsetting comments about how it was 'unrealistic' (my dude, vore itself is unrealistic), on how they wished the characters would get digested, and that there was something inherently weak/soft/oversensitive about those who enjoy soft vore/endo. It just seems to me that both sides have wonderful people and terrible people, and both sides think the other side is less tolerant and accepting than themselves. Lots of people only focusing on the few loud jerks on either side! And it does really suck that those few loud assholes make people from either side dislike their counterpart. For the most part? I have found that BOTH sides are wonderful, accepting communities, it's just that any group is bound to have a few who poorly represent them! I hope we can all just come together and be vore fans together, supporting each other no matter what their preferences are, even if we might not share those preferences. Anyways!! Sorry, that's my big ole ramble. Soft/nonfatal/endo/safe is great. Hard/fatal/digestive/unsafe is great. It's all cool and wonderful and unique! <3

Safe vore is a little strange, though I'm trying to find interest in it. I prefer if it's actually unsafe though but the prey has some clever tactics about making it semi safe. But Chio's stomach is a stomach that does a job, safe or not, it's going to do it if you stay in it.

I'm a fan of both! If I had to choose between one or the other, though, I'd probably go with unsafe, though. Only by a small margin. Most of my vore preferences are rooted in realism, and safe endo is just not all that realistic when it comes down to it. I make exception to it because it's also not realistic to have the same character die in numerous bellies either, and I feel like endo has a lot of interesting dynamics to explore between the pred and the prey, like using it as a way to strengthen trust or something.

That being said, the idea of the finality of fatal vore is also something I like to think about, willing or unwilling. There's so many ideas to explore with that as well, though I do find my enjoyment for fatal vore to be a little harder to explain.

Either way, there's nothing to be gained by getting upset at people for their preferences! I don't understand why people get so up in arms about that kind of stuff.

Right right! There's stuff you can go into with reformation, but one way to look at it is what one of my friends said: "You can't get much closer to a friend than becoming them." which I found to be like a perfect explanation of it. Reformation or not. Something about giving yourself completely to a pred friend is just really profound. That being said, I think dominance is major factor, too, especially for unwilling.

Personally, I love unsafe vore. Every time I rp it, it's definitely unwilling and I prefer digestion (but have done safe vore for those that don't want to be digested). I love the idea of the prey being quietly hunted, unknowing the pred is stalking them. I love the idea of being bitten to subdue, or bitten and constricted, depending on the pred. But I don't go for gory swallowing. I'd rather be swallowed whole and then be digested while still aware. In some ways, that's worse than just being ripped in half, but I think it's more fun. Xp

I enjoy both willing and unwilling, as while I understand that instinctive struggle to survive, I also have the curiosity to discover what it's like to have all that wet flesh squeezing in around you, knowing you are giving yourself completely to a predator.

And I do agree about people feeling the need to express their dislike of things which others enjoy. I've seen that a lot, due to my preferences. I simply don't understand that need for them to try to shame or guilt others, when they themselves are enjoying a fetish which others find distasteful.

I prefer unsafe vore, I just like the themes of, predation, fear, horror... and bad ends. those are what lend to the allure of vore for me.

I feel that while fatal, unwilling and super mean vore can be thrilling, safe vore is harder for me to figure out how to make work, but that's just me!

but yeah I'm quite disappointed by people who go out of their way to harass or ostracize others over fantasy kinks. Wanting to avoid content that upsets or triggers you is more than fine, but bullying or endorsing bullying of people who aren't even hurting anyone is just cruel.

My overall preference tends to be gruesome, deadly digestion with vore, though I'm also partial to death before swallowing, but I do tend to prefer swallowing whole. However, I still very much enjoy less harsh things and will happily oblige people who only like endo, or painless digestion, or what have you.

Always prefer willing vore. I can like some unwilling vore arts, but can't play RPs with unwillings preys.
I like the "safe" side when the prey is swallowed, kept for a while in a stomach, warm, comfortable (and with the smells, I personally love it) with a friendly predator. But I really like an intimate relationship between the prey and the predator, on the other hand involving digestion. I love digestion. And I love it when the prey has a way to come back to life without stealing nutrients from their predator, so they can get swallowed again! This is how my fox Thux is (my main character, also in pp) a vore lover, being the prey of reptiles, birds, dragons... being digested, disposed, etc. And come back with a "new" body, and enjoy it again. It's up to the unsafe vore, after all, when you get into a stomach, you're actually unlikely to come out alive. I like the realism of vore (which is why I'm not really a fan of same size or big belly) and therefore, unless there is a special power, if a predator wants to do "safe vore", he doesn't has no interest in keeping the prey in him for a long time! And preferably on an empty stomach.

So, I like both. Safe and unsafe vore. Maybe a little more unsafe vore, with digestion and other, but with a willing prey.

I by far only prefer safe vore. I also really do lean much more towards the wholesome side of vore/endosomatophilia. I guess this isn't the most popular viewpoint on this thread, but honestly? I don't really mind. I can really see how other people can enjoy the things I don't. It's just a matter of perspective, and also respect. I'm totally fine with coexisting with people with other viewpoints, so long as we respect each other's opinions. I really don't want to go after people simply because they like something I don't- that's just rude! I know quite a few people who would really like to digest (or be digested by) anybody they can. But it's quite simply not my cup of tea.

But if you are interested about what specifically I like about safe vore, it's pretty simple. I just really like being in a belly. The idea of a dank fleshy capsule all around me is incredibly captivating and cool to me. I just wanna stay whole throughout the process- not being ground to bits or turned to pudge. Also, to be frank, digestion just makes me feel bad- I don't really like looking at digestion art, even though I often look at it anyways. Call it sick curiosity. Unwilling and unsafe are my cup o' tea. The darker the better. But in general I don't mind others. As for anything I don't like, there not really much and I literally don't think there is anything on this site as a whole that can turn me away except maybe shit post ms paint drawings so you have nothing to worry about on from me lol

Depends on the content entirely. Sometimes i enjoy scenarios where safe vore would be the best but a lot of times i prefer fatal. However i do not like any sort of visible digestion or post vore, nor do i enjoy preds that get off to prey being digested.quite the opposite.
For preymy favorite is curiosity or nervousness, so not fully willing nor unwilling :p

As for other types of vore, namely unbirth, i like that as a strictly safe vore option.

Digestion has to be very specific for me to like it. Even more specific for me to draw it.

My main appeal is "safe" vore with the threat of digestion but usually non-fatal. It's easy for me to get in my head a bit and relate too much to the prey and frankly, I just don't want to be digested alive all that much.

However, Fatal or unsafe vore definitely strikes my interest every now and again, particularly if the pred is feral and closer to a wild animal than a sentient being. The whole cruel pred who's intentionally harming someone gets me thinking a bit too much about my own mortality and all that.

But these are just my preferences and I understand everyone is different.

A minor communication error on my part, I was trying to say un-safe vore with non-fatal endings, like regurgitation or full-tour. In the end, it's still a stomach and fully capable of digesting prey and trying to but the prey managing to escape or being released before anything bad happens. It adds properties like willing to unwilling prey or the preds nice enough to spare their meals. Most of the time I've got no problem with straight-up fatal stuff but I often don't find myself purposefully seeking it out or writing it myself.

However, I'm glad I could spark a YCH comic! This might be one of my most prideful moments on this site yet! Call it a happy little accident!

Prey gets captured, and is clearly in distress and doesn't wanna be eaten. Is eaten. Frantic/panicking within the stomach... but as time goes on, nothing happens. The prey character will finally realize that the fluid within isn't digesting them and the pred character made a prank out of it. lol So would have a funny end. hah

I gotta say this has been an incredibly enlightening thread so far. So many different viewpoints have been expressed and it's so interesting to get an idea of what everyone likes and dislikes. That's one thing I've grown to really love about the vore community; there's just such a tremendous variety of tastes and preferences out there and it's so much more than you would ever expect from something as simple as eating someone or something.

I've come to find that I really love learning about other peoples' vore preferences. Even for stuff that I don't think I like very much. There's always something I might pick up from the people around me, or something that I may find that I like after all, despite disliking it in the past. I used to hate hard vore, but then I did some writing for character that took place in the afterlife and needed a way for that character to have died, and I went with the "killed and eaten by wild animals" route and accidentally found that I kinda liked that, too! I like to always be open to experiment with new things; I never know what I might turn out to like.

That being said, there are some types of "vore" I won't touch no matter what. Myself, I can't even really consider it vore unless it's through the mouth, so stuff like CV, AV, unbirth, or any of that nsfw variety I will stay very far from.

Gore is the only "nsfw" I will go near because with the media I was exposed to growing up, it doesn't feel nsfw to me. And well, that also goes back to the point about realism I made in my other comment. You would expect to see gore in real life vore.

I will always lean more toward fatal vore, but I am not a fan of watching digestion. I am not a fan of gore, But I love bones.

Unwilling or unwilling it doesn’t matter to me. But I love when prey is unwilling and becomes willing toward the end and give up.

I also have a character that can reform their body after death. So would that be safe vore?

In my defense there is a story behind it. When he eats someone whole he gets their life force and any remaining years of their life. When he gets eaten he loses a life. So in theory if he gets eaten more times then eats he will run out of lives.

But what he eats stays dead. I am not that kind.
