Venting about me bein a dumbass

hello it be 4 am, sorry to just randomly drop a journal just kinda needed a platform rq to post how i overthink all my problems orz
also the reason i havent drawn in about 8-9 days now
been findin myself constantly overthinkin about what i draw lately, i started posting art and built an audience from just bein a straight dude who drew tits and like now my hearts not really in that anymore cause im the big gay, dont get me wrong i like drawin booba and butt sometimes but i really wanna draw more dudes and gay stuff
and its as easy as like bro just do it and yeah i should but i guess this is where the overthinkin comes from, art is my full time job at the moment i use my patreon/commissions to pay bills im just scared if i post more gay stuff my patrons will start to dip on me, not that id blame em if i came for one thing and got somethin i didnt like id leave too
been thinkin like well maybe ill tap into a new market and just get new patrons and stuff but thats just a shot in the dark, idk first world problems right
but if youre actually readin this and youre a straight dude how would you feel if i started to switch things up, would you be upset?
anywho im all emotional and i just really wanna say thanks to everyone who looks forward to my art, in terms of like my style and stuff i finally feel really good about my art and i for once see a big improvement in things, i just wanna get my heart back into it too cause then i know the quality will increase
also i like posting journals and talkin to yall maybe ill do that more :D

but art with pps seems leagues more popular than booba anyways so honestly i dont think people would mind or u wouldnt have an issue building up an audience

No, but seriously, I think it's fine if you start to draw other things. XD I don't got the numbers, so I can't say with 100% certainty that it'lldo as well as the girls you draw, but I'm sure it'll do well! And you might lure in more who like boys~

But me, While it is fine if you make gay stuff, I simply don`t enjoy looking at it, but as long as that will not be the only stuff you make, I shall not go anywhere.

You do you, that's the point of art.
People say kind, reassuring things to your face, but the fact is, people are also creatures of habit; they don't like change. If you're doing well and then change things up, you're gonna get pushback.
But think of it this way: What's worse for business? Changing your art themes and losing some customers, or drawing stuff you don't want and killing your enthusiasm for art entirely?
And just speaking from the perspective of somebody who likes both girls and boys (and some folks in-between) and who started watching you because of the pics of girls you've drawn, your recent pics of Mappy and your kittysona have been my favorite works of yours. You do lovely things with thickboys and I'm hoping to see lots more. <3
Are you planning to switch entirely to gay, or will there be boobs occasionally?
If you still do tits once in a while, then i don't think your audience will change too drastically, a complete change might see a dip in viewers though,
But don't worry about it, it will go up again pretty soon, knowing your amazing art skills.
However i think you already know the answer.
You can ether do what you love, Or burn yourself out by forcing yourself to draw things you aren't into.
Going against what you love will only lead to pain in the end.
And i for one want you to be happy, My favorite works of yours have always been of jinu, you seam more happy when you do them.
and even if it was something i wasn't into, I would still want you to be happy.

sorry if i don't comment as much as i probably should, i've been slacking when it comes to FA.
Mostly my friends just show me stuff on discord directly.
The majority will likely stay because they like your art regardless of subject matter.
Ultimately, as you said - it's best to draw what you enjoy, otherwise art becomes a joyless chore.
Also pls lemme commission some hyper dong now that you are completely furry. :3

But I'd be alright with it, you make everyone attractive and I'm sure there's plenty of people will like your new stuff too.
I do see where you're coming from however, as it's difficult to want to produce that type of content when the grand majority of your audience comes for the anime titties.
If anything, you could just start regularly putting that kind of stuff out there, and bill yourself as a multi-genre artist who creates what they find appealing.
Apart from that, I'd be hella interested to see what you could create doing things like MalexMale, FutaxMale or Femboy stuff.
Because, I loved your drawings of Helluva Boss, especially the drawings of Moxxie since he's my favorite.
The same goes for your art of Sonic, Looney Tunes, FNAF, Nintendo (Smash Bros, Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, etc).
But yeah, it's totally up to you if you want to pursue more variety with the content you produce.
It's unavoidable that you will lose at the very least some watchers if you switch it up to be more of that. But I'm sure a fair amount of your watchers/supporters do like that stuff. And you'll get the numbers back up soon enough I'd reckon.
You probably already know all this. But there will most likely be a bit of a dip but if you really want to do that then I say go for it.
first and foremost you should do what makes you happy, just draw the things that excite you personally. if you just push yourself to do stuff you don't like, it's gonna kill your motivation and impact the quality of your work.
to answer your question honestly though, i would definitely not be interested in seeing that kind of stuff personally. i'm here for the gals. but that shouldn't affect your decisions; your art's your art after all.
Whilst I can't speak as a straight man, as I'm a pansexual, I can say that I'd back you no matter what you put out. All of your content is good, straight, gay, and everything in between and beyond! The content changes but the talent remains the same. Considering you don't paywall anything with your Patreon, you can rest assured that the people giving you money are throwing it your way completely on the basis that they just like you, my dude, and all of us wanna see you succeed! So again, whilst I may not be the straightest person around, I'd totally be down with you changing stuff up and would wager a vast majority of your fanbase would agree! Worst comes to worst, you could always just open more commission slots if there was a noticeable dip in Patreon donations. You've already seen first-hand how crazy we all go when the slots open up, so a few more of them would easily be filled as fast as the usual six!
There is this thing, I don't have words to describe, about your style that it feels right and perfect in every picture I've seen from you (Maybe the lines? The lighting? The combination of everything? I don't know). And it doesn't matter if the character is female, male, futa, that perfect thing is always there.
Especially when it comes to thicc characters, their thiccness fits them perfectly, you are a real master of your craft. So, yeah, I came for the thiccness, but stayed for something else.
But as you said, it is still your full-time job, and of course, no one wants to risk their source of income, especially in these times. So if you're worried, I say asks your patreons, the answer may even surprise you. Plus, it will give you a better idea of the kind of impact the change will have. But the most important thing, trust in your art. =)
