Well, THAT was annoying...

Yesterday morning, my computer died. Blue-screened with WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error Looking this up on my phone showed that this was "A hardware problem," and that's all the information provided. Since I was seeing the C drive acting up on the Task Manager for a week before it happened, I thought I just needed a new boot drive.
I was hosting a Games day yesterday, so I couldn't go shopping until today. Got the new drives (since I just learned the problem of dual-booting two partitions on the same physical drive) got everything installed and ... WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error while installing Windows on the new drive. So BACK to the computer store for a new motherboard and new memory.
I have basically just gotten my new system up and running enough to get online now. I'm not even done with all the drivers, now with the second boot drive for Linux.
I'm just so glad I had Firefox Sync set up before this, and that all my important documents are on a separate drive from the OS.
