I would consider 'aliens' to be furry/scaly if they look the part. Anthropomorphic reptiles are totally scalies, no matter what they come from~

Depends on the definition of "Scalies" of course. If it just means reptiloid anthropomorph beings, than yes, they might qualify. If "Scalies" refers to self-identified individuals inside the broader scope of the furry fandom, then no, they probably wouldn't qualify. But does the lable truely matter, if the show or movie depicts a cool race? :)
