Never heard of him...

...but I like a good SciFi yarn and I support any writer in the genre who doesn't have gratuitous references to the latest cultural fad, mob-based opinion or tiresome treacle that seems to be semi-mandatory before you can get a story published. If this guy's work is anywhere near that sunny upland place where fast-paced and entertaining story telling trumps preachy, boring BS disguised as stories worth reading (see Sarah Hoyt, Larry Correia, et al.), I'll be happy to read his stuff.
Gonna try this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B.....t_bibl_vppi_i1
Now, it looks like this guy might be a little more into religion than your average military sci-fi author but I'm cool with that...I'm not of the Christian persuasion anyway but am not put off by this kind of stuff unless it it way over the top but, to be honest, I've never encountered that...and why are there a lot of Mormons writing sci-fi? (Larry Correia has a take on that.)
Note: I'm not Mormon, either.
In any case, it's nice to see tedious scolds who dominate the system get shown the finger once in awhile.

Yeah, sounds like pandemic wokeness infected the worldcon san jose people. and it overrode rationality. The dollar penalty seems suspiciously small, but I would not be surprised to hear that it was the entire remaining bank balance in the organization. I'm glad he won his case.
Looking at his amazon page, his books seem mostly steampunkish, which is not really my thing, so will be giving them a pass.
