The end of an Era. (Fnaf)
Seven years. It's been seven years.
You never think a game could mean so much to you until you look back. I mean. A game taught me a whole lot. A game taught me to see every side of a story before choosing a side. A game gave me the philosophy that the show must go on, so I remained strong. A game helped me bond with my first real friend. A game let rise to my first real oc. It's been seven years. I was 11 when this began. I built myself up through these lessons in my formative years. I'm 18 now. It's been a hell of a ride.
I don't agree with what Scott did, but I don't think he did it on purpose. He's proven time and time again to be a good person. But people are angry. They're allowed to be. But he didn't deserve the threats. His family didn't deserve the threats. People took it to far, I think.
Today Scott retired. Today an Era ends. While the franchise isn't over, it's still at a turning point. Scott brought this about. He made a foundation that I don't know who I'd be without. Which I know sounds dumb and sappy. But, it's how I feel. I'm thankful.
I am sad. It's been a hell of a ride, and what he's made means a lot to me. No matter who the series goes too, I'm going to remember where it started.
Thank you Scott.

He did make great games, though he made some questionable donations towards certain politicians that will mar his image for years.

OP
He wasn't fully aware, as he's said. I'm not happy with the donations, but I do not believe him to be a bad man. What he's built has and always will be very important to me.

Did he shut the game down or something?

OP
No, he's currently picking someone new to carry the legacy. Which, I'm glad the game is going on, but I'm sad still. The man behind it all is stepping down, and it's like the end of a story. I hope he gives it to someone who can do justice

Yeah. Usually I'm worried about if whoever takes over is willing to provide quality and not make it a cash-grab.

Fnaf imo ended with the 3rd game. That was imo the last game that made sense even if it wasn't the best one. After that he became very creatively bankrupt and just sort of stuck recycling a franchise that should've ended at 3 or a prequel that wasn't some nightmare dream world. Should've just did something new and unique after that entry. "Unique like how fnaf used to be at the time." On the other hand a lot of stupid people went and doxxed not only him ,but vivziepop all because she laughed at his questionable choices. NOT the fact he got doxxed. But apparently the society we exist in is a society full of very stupid, gullible ,smooth brained people who will read only the first two words in a sentence and then immediatly take the stupidest course of action possible to protect their "king"/"queen". Those type of people are indeed vile to me. Another reason I heavily dislike twitter. Even though I have no choice but to use it just to access my switch screenshots/videos.

OP
I'd rather just agree to disagree. Please let me mourn in peace. You may not understand, but it means a lot to me. So.
