No, I'm not dead. Just had a dead SSD, and it made things really annoying.
I had recently changed my password to something more secure, but it was saved locally. Then the SSD died, and I couldn't remember the password.
Recovering it was difficult, because my recovery email was also an old email account I haven't used in a while now. So, a lot of guessing, and trying to nudge the dead SSD back to life if only a little bit to get a bit of data from it. Back now!
TL;DR: make sure your account recovery emails are current!
