Character: Nathan/The Scientist.
General Info: A scientist with a split-personality known as the Were-Aykroyd, this personality is a transformation where he becomes Aykroydian and also becomes a lot stronger and also becomes a powerful fighter in this form.
Appearance (as his normal self): Around 5'7, long brown hair and brown eyes, average build with quite pale skin, with a few imperfections including a scar on the left side of his neck from a surgical operation, wears a black or red outfit with a spider or skull motif and fingerless gloves.
Personality (as himself): Socially awkward and shy and skittish but he gets along well with quite a few survivors including Dwight who he sympathizes with, is viewed as strange due to his nature and his interests.
Personality (as 'The Were-Aykroyd'): Smarter than your typical killer, he's highly intelligent and knows how stupid some slasher movie victims tend to be and he knows the rules of horror movies and how to bend them and he knows how to make his trials trickier for survivors just in case they get close to figuring them out and he is very protective of 'Nathan/The Scientist'. As opposed to the types of transformations in superhero movies where the nerdy/geeky character becomes a lot more confident as a result of gaining their powers/new persona, Nathan remains adorkable as the Were-Aykroyd, he is just a lot more confident about his own weirdness.
Appearance (as the 'Were-Aykroyd'): Around 6'1, bulky/burly with dark brown hairs on his chest, hands, stomach and his arms...is very much a supernaturally powered Dan Aykroyd, sometimes sports wavier hair than normal or longer fingernails (not exactly claws, but they were an artistic choice of his and are quite useful in battle).
Perks: Scientific genius, Supernatural Knowledge, hypnotic influence (as the Were-Aykroyd).
Special Powers (as the Were-Aykroyd): Superhuman strength, dream-manipulation, hypnosis, Were-Aykroyd powers.
Mask when in Killer Attire: Grim Reaper skull half-mask.
Lore: Nathan/The Scientist was hired as the 'monster/killer' maker, who would create or send various monsters of his own creation out for the survivors to fight but it wasn't until last year when he began to develop his own persona, he developed this persona as a charismatic alter-ego known as the 'Were-Aykroyd' or 'Dan' as he was often called and dreamed of bringing the persona to life, but those dreams were courtesy of the persona himself who was already planning to do so. Which came to fruition once Nathan came into possession of shaped like a crystalized skull, feeling curious about what the ring, he put in on his finger and wondered what it could do, the ring transferred a powerful dark aura into him which began to tangle with his own aura and caused 'Dan' to possess and take over him, thus turning him into him in a gradual process with each and every night, he attempted to resist or even hide the changes from the others since the survivors viewed Nathan as a helper and companion who could provide assistance during the Aykroydian attacks, since he seemed to know a great deal on the subjects, even pinpointing the origin. But during most night-time missions, Nathan seemed to be absent or just hide himself because he feared that now that 'Dan' had possessed him, he would turn into that 'Were-Aykroyd' alter-ego, as he had been doing for the past several nights since discovering how Dan's powers and the ring's power brought that side of him out.
Nathan's Influences:
- Herbert West (Reanimator).
- Calvin Zabo (Agents Of Shield).
- Seth Brundle (The Fly 1986). A lot of his mannerisms and traits in his normal form i.e when he's not the Were-Aykroyd, are very much a mix of Brundle's and Herbert West's only he tends to act a lot more skittish and shy.
- Jessie Walsh (Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge). Nathan's ordeal with 'Dan/'The Were-Aykroyd' is similar to Jessie and Freddy's ordeal in the movie.
- Rick Taylor (Splatterhouse).
- Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks)
Dan/Were-Aykroyd's Influences:
- Dan Aykroyd. He is a supernatural version of Aykroyd after all, so it's only natural that he takes after him.
- Doppelganger!Dale/Mr C (Twin Peaks). The way Nathan and Dan's 'ordeal' works is very much like with Bob from the show Twin Peaks, except of course in this case Bob is Dan and Nathan becomes him or 'The Were-Aykroyd' and Dan acts as the Mr C to Nathan's Dale only he's well...Aykroydian.
- Terror Mask (Splatterhouse). He acts in a similar way to the Terror Mask, talking to Nathan and speaking to him as he sometimes will convince him into turning and going after the other survivors, he will often appear as Nathan's reflection and no matter where he is, he'll always be there waiting for him. Of course like when Rick is transformed in the game, when Nathan is Dan/The Were-Aykroyd he is inhumanly strong.
- Bob (Twin Peaks).
- Lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil: Village).
- Calvin Zabo (Agents Of Shield)
- Vic Zeck (Neighbors)
- Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare On Elm Street)
- Jebediah Morningside/The Tall-Man (Phantasm).
