I don't care on what, find your own prompt, but write 1000 words whenever convenient. A character snippet, an action scene. Build on it later, or keep it flash fic. Anyone can do this, you don't need to be a writer.

This is fueled by me having 4 players, two of which are the "Let's go ADVENTURE! Jump in a mecha and fight the evil baddies ()and along the way have some anime romance and high-school-level drama)!" types, while the other two are deeply cerebral, preferring to have highly detailed, close-to-real-science-as-possible information put in front of them and a scenario from which they can armchair strategize their way through with sufficient information about such things as shipyard production schedules, projected delays, times to maneuver, etc., with the minimum amount of roleplay needed and then only as required to move the plot along. It's a study in extreme contrasts, and one that necessitates me juggling a weird juxtaposition of ultra-hard tech and extreme anime mecha action.
And, despite this all, I adore it and wouldn't trade it for the life of me! ^_^
