"As you know..."

In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow. Nothing can become. Nothing changes. So death created time to grow the things that it would kill and you are reborn but into the same life that you've always been born into.
This is a random journal regarding some methods of exposition, well one in particular, that a lot of people will take notice of when it's used in stories. It's especially used (abused, really) in movies and T.V.. The exposition method being when a character starts off an explanation with "As you know" before proceeding to explain what, well, the characters present already know. I have seen sloppier exposition methods, whereas this one attempts to bring in information naturally into the story, I've seen other exposition dumps where a character will suddenly just start talking about plot-relevant information. What I've always found particularly odd about this method of exposition though is the flaws of it can pretty easily be mitigated by either having an actual dialogue scene, where one or more characters ask questions of the character providing exposition or the character providing the expositor prefaces it with "For those of you who don't know..."
What are some other forced methods of exposition that are obvious, annoying, and poorly implemented? What are some ways to mitigate those issues, in your opinion?
