A lot of artists use Twitter for polls, teaser images, etc., but if a moderator or the automatic system locks your account for something, then it can take months to get the ban lifted.

Personally, I don't use much social media.

As the other person mentioned, adult content is allowed, but the automatic system still occasionally messes up and locks your stuff anyways.

Man, people really are fake dramatic about Twitter.

It's a chill place full of nice people and furry stuff is very popular! Some artists get more attention on there than furaffinity and dropped it. You can also mute words or account you don't like, tag search, and the block function actually works.

Been on there a while and only a single prominent account was banned, and it was because of fake mass reporting, not because of actual adult content (which is perfectly allowed), and he got it back afterwards

You know I'll give it a try! I want to meet new folks and make some friends so this sounds like a great way to do it.
