FIRST CON! Stratos Fur Houston

We went to Stratos Furr and my gosh that was alot of fun. it was our first time and we got to meet so many fur suiters and odd folk and I got to meet Michael Light and just hang out it was alot of fun I cant wait to go again to our next con . i have so many stories to go through but so tired right now XD. okay just one to start with.

First big story of the day. this is how our con started.
We got there. we check in with registration, got our badge and a ticket (for t-shirts later) and then hung around for alittle bit, watching the time. we were watching the time because One of us had to be at work that day. for 2 ours we ummed and eered about leavening cause one of us had to clock in around 12 that afternoon...
So. heres how i describe it. we were on our way back out towards the car. dredging having to work that day. i felt this massive weight pushing back on me and it was stronger, like a giant hand pressing down on my chest and pulling me back. my partner Jamie. we kept asking if we wanted to stay or go and after thinking back on all the stress of the past year, all the hang-ups on real life stuff we wanted to do but couldn't and all the times we Should have done something but didn't cause work got involved. I broke down, i just lost it and started crying.
that was the moment people. that was when Jamie called off work and we Stuck around the con, we decided to stay because We hadn't done anything for Ourselves in a very long long time and we needed this. it was a very emotional and personal moment and every step we took heading Back to the Con We felt the weight off our bodies lift more and more and we spent the Whole day there and had a blast!
the lesson here is this. Dont deny yourselves that personal freedom, Allow yourselves to truly be who you are. if you ever find yourself stuck in a situation that means doing the same thing you done everyday for the past year and a half VS something youv Wanted to do for even longer but couldn't because any reason at all, Choose the latter folks, find that release, Express yourself (safely and responsibly of course XD).
Do something for yourself, let yourself outside of that box and Be Who you are. be true to yourselves people. because sometimes you only get one chance and this time. We didn't miss out.
Thank to everyone who made Stratos fur possible, all the staff, all the members who supported the con everyone who attended. and most of all. Thank you Jamie my husband, who i am so damn proud for standing up for himself for once. come high heaven or hell it was Gosh darn worth it!.
Id also like to shout out to our friend Krysalyne Hime and Fraust Pipistrello for being there and supporting the con.
Guys it was so awesome to finally meet you face to face. Fraust thank you for the stickers! UwU.

Jason/Hita Dax it was awesome to meet you! your character choice is just LOL love it don't stop being the oddball amongst oddballs!
and to Michele Light It was truly an honor to meet her and her husband it was like meeting a celebrity but at the same time such down to earth people were able to just converse like couples do with one another XD we had so much fun and Oh yes! I was a total fan girl in that moment! LOL thank you!
