Life Update
Hey everyone! I figured I should actually give a more in-depth update about how things have been going.
In November 2020 I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I started taking insulin shots. It was rough the first few months because it was VERY trial and error, I had to really figure out what kind of foods/physical activities affected my blood sugar and how much insulin was appropriate to give for each little thing.
I ended up in the ER a good number of times because on top of wonky blood sugar, my phosphorus levels dropped into critical levels. Over the course of a week in March I was in the ER 3 times for several 6 hour IV infusions of phosphorus. Since then my levels have been steady, but hopefully it doesn't happen again!
I took a leave of absence from my day job as I struggled to get my blood sugars under control, along with dealing with some severe depression, and at this point I think im doing a pretty okay job. I'm on 60mg of Prozac now and I'm starting to go back to my day job, but I've also started to find more motivation to do art.
I've been selling a lot on my etsy shop, https://www.etsy.com/shop/MaribitsTreasures , and have signed up to host some craft fair tables in the next few months! Exciting!
I have quite a bit of credit card dept racked up since I wasn't at work for a few months, and my car desperately needs some work done, and so I plan on putting my YCH's up and also open commissions! I also am going to try to start uploading more personal art, since I don't nearly do enough of that, so I'm kinda excited about that too!
Hope everyone is doing well, thanks for reading!
