No, it's perfectly viewable at the "max" resolution of FA. Generally it seems like a lot of artist save high resolution for Patreon subscribers which I think is perfectly fine.
I don't think so. Like, FA has this problem with compression of files if they exceed a certain size, but the resolution appears to be the same on NewGrounds which is not supposed to have that problem. So unless you have an obviously better and larger hi-res version your hiding on your patreon, your posting should be fine.
Fellow artist here - I'd say the answer is what everyone else has said: It's perfectly fine.
All you want is a resolution where people can see what needs to be seen and the image comes across clearly. There's nothing worse than a gigantic image where you have to skate around the frame to even understand what's going on. Higher resolution is usually best for images with a lot of intricate details in a number of places.
I know some artists on Hentai Foundry will post very high resolution images, but they also have fine details on armor and jewerly that would be missed without that. Patreon folks with offer high resolution art so that patrons can get "lost" in the image. But there's a fine line between seeing everything and being able to see absolutely nothing (at which point I give up no matter how great the artist is).
But I also cut my teeth on kamishibai stories, so small images are nothing to me. Still, I think you're fine.
no, it's good. I never click to make larger anyways. your hi res is in Patreon, which is free anyways. monitor or phone size screens are pretty standard.
