Thoughts on Cons?

And yet another page in the Rinkan Memoir
I've never done a convention before. And honestly, this is all pretty damn new to me. Now, I'd helped set up conventions before - my college hosted a Kigacon some years back, I've helped a comicon, and so on and so on. So this is all not entirely new in the physical sense. But in terms of experience, this is my first furry convention to be sure. And I'm going to MFF in December. In person. Plane tickets already purchased and arrangements made. The whole nine yards.
And I am equal parts hype and anxiety over it lmfao. I dunno, I guess a part of me is afraid to step away from the "behind the screen" part of things? Like some people I'm going to be meeting up with already "know" me irl, so it's not going to be too weird, I think.
I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking it. Maybe not. Would love to hear others' thoughts about it.

For safety sake and just generally keeping up with everyone, my pals liked a system of- unless we're all specifically doing something/any of us at an event, we'd set a time and a place for all of us to meet back up- be it just to grab our bearings or an unspoken role-call, just making sure everyone's A-Okay throughout the day, and also a nice system if everyone wants to meet up for grub
Hope you have fun when you go, and above all stay safe!
