Agree.
You do draw allot form what I can gather through.
So maybe you can continuously keep things going.
Maybe you should establish something like “no art autumn” with the patreon followers as soon as possible. Breaks are always important.
I primarily meant because from the patreons ive seen, they fall in a few camps.
1. Its a tipjar and the artist posts stuff publically still.
2. The patreon has exclusive stuff and acts as a content paywall
3. Same as two but with the content is 1/2 personal projects and 1/2 pledger rewards.
Saga can always try. No harm done if somehow it doesn't pan out.
You could just keep doing what you're already doing. With Patreon you could more easily justify working more frequently on non-commissioned projects for yourself.
Personally, I'd love to see sequels to things like 'An App For That' or 'Natalya the Gymnast'. 👀
Would you still be able to do commissions while maintaining a Patreon? Because some artists end up needing to severely limit the commissions they can do once their patreon gets going (often to a limited amount of donors of a certain tier)
I know some artists use Patreon for 'early access' to their work. Stuff is posted there first for their Patreon followers, then posted to the usual sites a month or two after that.
Nice idea. You should consider whether setting an income per month or per artwork, depending on how often you're gonna post stuff on your Patreon channel.

Ultimately it's up to you.
