Flat price YCHs are good if you feel that there may not be as much interest in a YCH. Auctions work well for you as the artist when there is a high demand for the YCH.

From the customers perspective, a Flat YCH let's an active and avid follower pick up a slot real quick. An auction lets the person who wants it enough to spend larger sums of money to get it. Flat fails where someone really interested happens to be busy with work or smth, and auction fails where someone may have really wanted a slot and acted quickly, but got outbid.

As for completion levels, I'm assuming you mean in terms of shading/coloring. I don't think that should be mixed with auctions, at all. Someone might prefer to just get a flat color for example, but someone who just wants the YCH regardless of completion level will bid anyways and happen to get the better level of completion.

Sniper rules are fine for auctions. Auctions are fine with multi-characters and single-characters. I personally have a slight preference for flat price YCHs, so keep that in mind as you weigh my words, but I don't feel auctions are particularly bad in any way.

One thing I will add is that having spontaneously NSFW multislot auctions could attract those who just want to have their character in an orgy, while more focused romantic multislot YCHs could attract someone who has multiple characters that they aren't interested in sharing with others (though this is more rarer and would probably be more likely done in comms anyways)

Ah yes I did not consider the differences on a more "romantic" ych versus just the orgy type!

As of late I kinda prefer flat YCHs because I know it will go for the price I need it to, and the commissioner also knows what they are getting. I feel like completion lvls in auction form can get a little messy... I used to do pretty well with auctions format but then i took a massive absence and ye LOL.

Idk there are sooooo many ways to do YCHs that like... what way works best for what type of ych! lol Cause i love doing YCHs. I love sketching poses and putting the ones I like up for sale :)

Personally, I like multi-slot YCHs and prefer flat prices. Though I also tend to either buy out all the slots or none since I want to control who my characters are with.

I think most people prefer flat price ychs cause the auction ones can get crazy expensive lol

I'm sure that contributes. I prefer the flat rates partially so that I know I have the slot and that I don't have to keep checking back periodically to make sure I wasn't outbid.

* Personally, I prefer single (as in all the characters in a piece) since most of my characters I'd prefer paired up with my own. There could be drama involving the other person, or they could be wanting to use a character that really doesn't mesh with yours.

ooohhh so you actually like the different completion levels? like at x amount you get line art and base colors, at x amount you get full color, that sorta thing? Most people in these threads either are indifferent or just flat out hate that :)

Yeah, since depending on a number of different factors I appreciate being able to opt in at the different levels. For instance, sometimes I actually appreciate an artist's cel shaded art more than their full glitzy all the sparkles art, so I'll go for that level.

I'm either way on flat price or auction.
Only one completion level! Especially if there are multiple characters in the piece. I would hate if I shot for full-color, and there was a weird sketched or flat colored character in the piece. xD
I don't care for sniping rules, it's whatever to me.
I prefer single character, SFW or tasteful NSFW auctions myself, but honestly do what you enjoy most. There's an audience for all sorts.

I do want to say that your new YCH is pretty vague. The soul is in the eyes, but there are no faces to draw me in here, so I wouldn't know what I was buying. I definitely recommend putting some faces on to draw people in, even if you will have to redraw them for the characters.

ooo see on the faces i have heard that some people don't like the faces on there already because they want it to be for their character and their character's personality. Sometimes I do faces and sometimes I don't but most the time i noticed when i do draw a face on the auction, the person who gets it has a character close to that face type. (ie a humanish character is chosen when i draw human faces, a furry character is chosen when i draw a muzzle, etc...)
