For those of my loyal viewers curious about this edible new submission:
It's been a while since I've done any cake decorating, but I've been baking since I was little, taught by my father and grandmother. This was actually the trickiest cake I've done yet, but I blame Ace of Cakes for fueling my ambitions.
My parents keep bragging on me and showing pictures of this cake, to the point that my grandmother sent me some basic decorating supplies for my birthday. As much as I enjoy this, I think it might be worth investing in a little--buying supplies, taking some Wilton courses at Michael's, etc. I doubt I'll be doing this very often...but how much of an excuse do you need for cake, anyway? ^^

^^ Made it! Back online at last! Now I just have to dig through 113 journal entries, 877 submissions...and 1 comment. :p Feelin' the love here, folks. :p
For those that want to know, the past few months have been a mindblowing whirlwind of Stuff. Mamoru and I are settled in to our apartment now, I'm on the brink of landing a new job that brings a $5/hour raise plus benefits, and just today, the Comcast fairy brought the wonderful world of cable TV and high-speed Internet into our home.
In Furry news, I have a biiiig apology to make: I've been running a kiriban contest on my page, with two (COUNT 'EM! TWO!) ways to win: be my 10th watcher, or send me a screencap of the 200th pageview of my userpage.
If you got the 200th view, please get in touch--you've won a short story commission!
Miss Zero, aka watcher no. 10, I want you to know I'm sorry, and haven't forgotten what I owe you: I have some outlines I'll be typing up and sending to you to choose from, very soon.

I am not afraid to admit that I am enough of a ditz that it was only a few days ago that I realised that I'll need to pay for phone service before I can have dial-up at the apartment.
Sad, ain't it?
Anyway, The Move will be starting soon, and with my laptop going off for repairs and the apartment lacking internet access, there's no telling when I'll be back on FA, or for how long.
Obviously, commissions and postings are on hold until normal service is resumed. We apologise for the inconvenience. 0.O

Big changes coming soon: my boyfriend Mamoru and I are going to be moving into our apartment in a week or so. He's been staying here at my parents' house with me while we looked, and we just got our application approved for the place we were hoping to get. Well, okay, we were hoping for a little bigger, but with our current income, they were only barely willing to try us.
It's not a new place, it's a 960 sq. ft. townhome that's about 30 years old, well built and with brick siding, in a wonderful community.
What this means for y'all is: While I'll try to continue posting my older work, there's just no way I can find time to write anything new for the next few weeks. Unfortunately, this includes the story my 10th watcher won. I'll be getting in touch with her soon to let her know, and hammer out details.
Don't forget! Whoever sends me the screencap of 200 pageviews wins a short story commish, yiffy or not, about anything the winner wants--within reason. It may take a while to get it done, with this move, but I'll get it done, by golly. ^^

Cuz, see, I was being my typical otter self, and not planning on posting anything on FA any time soon. But I've already got four watchers! There's an obligation, here. I must not disappoint my fans! :p
So, I'm going to start putting up my poetry. I'm even going to finish writing a few stories, and put those up. There's no telling how far this could go!
Also, since I missed 100 pageviews, I'm awarding a prize to the "lucky" fur that gets a screencap of 200 pageviews: A short story, yiffy or not, about anything the winner wants--provided it doesn't squick me.
The same prize goes to watcher number 10!
...you poor bastards.
And, if you're wondering why I'm not offering a poem, it's because my poetry means a lot more to me. I will never take any poetry requests of any kind, so please don't ask.
